Thanks a lot to both of you. I ended up setting Auto Hold to On, because the users want to keep seeing the call details from Auto Display Waiting Call, for additional calls.
It would be good to be able to still make Hold visible, even if Auto hold is working, just so people can still explicitly...
A better description of the issue would be: When a second call comes in, the Hold button turns into an Answer button, and there is no apparent way to put the call on hold to answer the 2nd call, and just pressing Answer disconnects the first call.
Ideally, I'm looking for a way to keep the...
I had seen this issue mentioned before, but no real solution, as far as I can tell, only a per-call workaround of having to press the Phone button to return to the on-hook button layout during the call.
Is there no way to program the button layout used during the call?
Tommy,
I'm sorry, it still seems like I must be missing something. If I dial *03 followed by 2723874 the numeric version of the modem password, at least when pressing where letters appear on a phone dial buttons, followed-by 01, or 02, or 11 etc, e.g. *03-2723874-11 then I get a fast busy...
Tommy,
Thanks, but I'm having difficulty getting that to work. If I pick up a handset and dial *03 01 or *03 02, I don't hear anything, compared to when I dial *33, I hear a dial tone. I'm not sure on Magix systems, but should I hear a busy if that line is busy, or should I just hear...
...calls only go out the PRI if the pots are all occupied, which hasn't happened since many staff moved to different sites.
Is there Magix code ala *33 to directly dial out a specific line, rather than a pool of lines? I'd like to test each of the pots lines to see which of them have the LD...
Just to reiterate/clarify, when I set the extensions to ARS Restriction level 2, the they get prompted by the Magix to enter it's auth code, and when I have ARS Restriction set to 3 for that extension, the magix doesn't prompt them, but depending on the line they go out, the phone company...
Tommy,
Here is a recording of the verbal prompt to enter the auth code, after I dial the extension. I dial the extension that is call forwarding but which has ARS Restriction level 2, to only forward out the PRI, and I'm prompted verbally to enter the auth code.
In this case, this is for my...
...out the PRI exclusively, yet not prompt the caller to enter the magix auth code.
The forwarding was set up by dialing #80MagixExtensionAuthCode#*3391ForwardToNumber#. When the extension's ARS Restriction level is 3, it mostly works- calls to those extensions are forwarded out any available...
P.S. This is on a Magix v4, with each extension that's being forwarded externally already granted Remote Forward and Trunk to Trunk transfer permission in SPM.
Each of these extensions also has an Magix authorization code which was entered when their forwarding was set up, and which the caller...
...enter an authorization code.
These extensions already had their authorization code entered when their forwarding was set up via #80THEIRAUTHCODE#*3391THEIRPHONENUMBER#, and when the ARS restiction is set to 3, and their calls can go out on any line, callers are not prompted by the Magix to...
Does anyone have an idea why the main auto-attendant would be picking up most but not all DIDs and not letting me get in through the DID I have set to go to Remote Access?
Alternately, is there any other way, through WinSPM or Standard SPM to change / update the number that an extension is...
crvbob: Thanks. I'm not at the site, and at this point, can't use feature codes. I had only mentioned *33 because at that point I wasn't connected to the system, and I didn't recall seeing the Inside/Outside option for Auto Dial in WinSPM telephone programming, and thought he meant to put in a...
...the Barrier Code, then get a dial tone on the system, that would let me adjust their forwarding among other things, e.g. dial #80TheirAccessCode#*33TheNumberIoForwardTo#.
I now have at least mostly configured, and it seemed pretty straightforward, but the DID / last three digits extension...
Hello,
I attempted to set up remote access according to a previous post here, but even though I received no errors, when I dial the DID number I set to be for Remote Access, it just plays the main voice menu.
I'm using the same incoming call routing that's working for a 2nd DID on the same...
Thanks. I was just working from memory at that point, and hadn't seen that Inside/Outside option after Auto Dial, because I wasn't able to work on the phone system until after hours, to avoid disrupting people's phones. That was all it was. Thanks again for your help.
Thanks. By "Auto-dial, then inside," do you mean auto-dial then *33, then the extension?
I'm working through WinSPM > Telephone Programming, and I don't see an Inside option, but that's what I think you mean. Do you mean *33 for "inside"? or something else? Thanks again, Ralph.
This should be trivial, but the system only seems to let you program Extension Status / extension-appearance buttons on DSS button side-cars, not on the programmable phone buttons themselves.
Can anyone point me to instructions for programming these buttons to be lit when the extensions are in...
It was just the forwarding not having been turned off when the number was ported. Now it has been turned off and the DID to AA menu 3 is working. Thanks a lot!
Thanks a lot. That seems be at least partly working: I can hear the auto attendant when I dial the extension. The DID to auto-attendant is not working yet, but that may just be due to the call forwarding from the DID to the main number, not yet being turned off.
I set the PRI incoming routing...
