Its been some time since I rebooted my SMGR. I looked in my notes and don't have anything about disabling geo redundancy prior. So the question is this, do you disable geo redundancy before rebooting SMGR or do you just reboot each server 1 at a time and re-enable geo-redundancy once both...
My lab was first up. System Manager must have expired as I wasn't able to access the web interface. Ended up changing the date back 1 year and then I was able to access it. Renew the certs and reboot it. Session Manager were expiring in February. I clicked the renew button for those as...
My System and Session Manager Identity Certificates are about to expire. Is it as simple finding the System and Session Manager in Manage Elements and selecting more actions then Manage Identity Certificates? Once there I click each radio button then Renew. I did my CA cert 2 years so I have...
On your connection, Use Server Name cms_net and port 50000
From my notes.
1. Obtain the hostname of the CMS server by running the following command:
hostname
This will respond with the hostname of the system, for example:
cardinal
2. Save a copy of the /opt/informix/etc/onconfig.cms and the...
So you're using a provider like Redsky or Intrado to route calls? Assuming your using the PSTN to route those calls and adapting 911 calls to some number. Why not just route those calls out the same trunks as your other traffic? The only reason I see not to do that is if you often hit max...
Trying to understand the question. lets assume you have 5 sites, do you have dedicated trunks for 911 at each site? If a phone is registered to site A, it routes out the trunks at site A. If the phone logs out and registers at site B, 911 calls will then route to trunks at site B.
I just did mine as part of the CA cert upgrade. The CA cert expires every 10 years. That was a giant pile of work. When I got the identity cert, I put my SM in deny new service. Set enrollment password and initTM -f on the SM. Followed by the enrollment password 2 times.
What version?
Is this the SMGR CA cert that is expiring? Security -> Authority -> View Certificate? Or are you asking about Inventory -> Manage Elements -> select SM server -> Manage Identity Certificates?
I did this on a CMS as I was tired of someone who kept doing this:
# passwd
Rather then this
# passwd userID
So I did this.
# useradd root2
# vi /etc/passwd
Make root2 look like this. (In your case you probably want to copy cust or admin)
root2:x:0:0:root:/root:/bin/bash
# passwd root2...
