I finally convinced our Corporate guys that what I was suggesting to them all the time was the culprit. Yep, it was the anti virus.
According to CA, when etrust scans the MDB file, it 'tags' the file to say that it's done.
My guess is that Access tries to make sense of that tag...

Why not create a MAIN MENU button in each of your switchboard menus. That way, when you send the user back to the menu, they take the Main Menu option.. Hope this makes sense from a newbie..
