Hi Supernova
1100 and 1000: These relate to the two incmming lines we have, I believe.
'locate num 1000' and 'locate num 1100'=
"The number ralates to a Non Prime Broadcast Group."
Removing the lead 9 didn't seem to work for Speed Call numbers- but if I delete and re--add it it, without the...

Done lots of "thanking"- even for the http://home.paonline.com/rmeyer32/TROUBLE.pdf
I work for a very small company where there is no "it's not my job" attitude. You just bite the bullet sometimes and live with the consequences. It's not that bad - no one is crucified for messing up...
Actually- I didn't loose anything in the sense as far as the boss was concearned- it didn't work- I fiddled with it- it still didn't work- I fiddled some more- now it does! (Thanks to you guys of course- I owe you a virtual pint!)
Hey-I'm at the "No Problem!!" stage- so who gives a sh#t how I got there!
I'll have to get back to you guys on monday with the other queries.
Have a good weekend (do you guys have weekends?!)- I'm off to build my yacht!
As I said, I don't have access to voice mail- but I'll check with the boss on Monday how it's actually set up.
(My boss is hot on security, so it'll be interesting to find out how exatly secure his messages are.)
Have a good weekend and many thanks for your help.
I'll pick up this thread on Monday.
I haven't checked voicemail.
The only person who uses this and knows the access code is the bose's wife- so I can't check this until Monday (she's gone home).
I'll leave this post open until I can check it with her then, unless there is another easy way of checking the number on the management...
Just checked internal extensions- they ll seem to work OK.
(I believe they start at 1000).
I don't think we'll need any restrictions in the near future really (we need inernational dialling on all phones)
I guess restricting premium rate numbers would be good on some handsets but I don't want to...
Fantastic!
Both lines work!
I have no idea why we have a LCR dialler!
I think LCR stands for Least Cost Routing!
as you can guess- I've no idea about Mitel really.
I'm a software developer as well as the technical manager here (purely because there is no-one else to do it).
We have "inherited a...
Sorry- to clarify
Previously we had top dial 9 to get an outside line
We changed line providers.
Now we don't have to dial anything (works from a handeyt that is plugged iinto phone line bypassing switch).
So - we want the switch to handle no pre-dial number.
OK- you mean on the ARS Dialled Digits form?
I entered number od digits to add as 1
I entered 0 for Digits Dialled
followed by Unknown for number of digits to follow.
but what do I set the Termination Type to (Drop down is on Route)
It's saying Termination Number is out of range if I leave it blank.
Yep- too much too hope (No idea what was in the ARS Digits Dialed form) I stupidly assumed it wouldn't let me do something stupid!!
But where are the COR groups? (No form called this)
Cheers
Thanks for that, kwbMitel.
Glad someone knows their stuff!
It's not that we don't want to dial 9 and wish to instead dial normally e.g.02920 123456 with no 9 prefix- we can't!
Hence the posting.
Luckily we only have 2 outside voice lines, but I did remove the System Administration/ ARS/ ARS...
Thanks bobcheese- but I realised that. I need to change the settings on the switch admin, but am not sure which ones (it doesn't work if the 9 is used- and doesn't work if left out!)We can dial out using handsets plugged directly onto the sockets which bypass the switch (without the 9, of course).
Thanks for that, but...
I have removed the line in the System Administration/ ARS/ ARS Leading Digits Assignment- hoping this was the one- rebooted the switch- no joy!
You couldn't point me in the direction of what eise I need to change could you?
Cheers
We have a Mitel 3300.
We have changed our line provider and no are longer required to press 9 to make an outside call.
I found a setting on the switch in System Administration/ System Options Assignment- Outgoing External Call Prefix for Applications set to 9. I removed this and rebooted the...
