I have a remote office that would like to be able to change the main greeting for their office. Sometimes there are widespread issues that could be addressed by a simple, "We know about the problems you're having and are workin on it, if you still need help, dial...."
However, I don't want to...
We're getting a lot of drop outs and other problems associated with IP phones in a remote location. Is there an optimal setup for slow connections or something I could try to make the call quality go up?
We're working on the firewall now to up the packet priority to the top, but I'd like to...
VLAN was set to manual so that didn't seem to be the issue.
For now, I've given the phones static IP addresses and that has solved the problem. I wonder what it is about SonicWall DHCP that is causing the phones to reboot.
OK, well I figured out a solution, sort of.
I was told that they changed their DHCP server from a Windows 2003 server to DHCP being served up by a SonicWall Firewall.
You can see it register itself on the sonicwall, but then it ends up restarting and clearing out. There's something that...
Yes, it's all patched up.
It's not all phones in all offices. Just this one particular office.
The phones were fully configured off-site, then shipped to the office.
The network is supplying DHCP and it appears that they are getting addresses.
I've got an office that's really giving me a headache. I sent some i2002's that are configured to connect to a BCM 400. There's a VPN link from that office to the main office.
The phones were configured in another remote office and tested every way. I sent the phones to the new office and...
That's part of my problem. Qwest is the Nortel dealer I'm working with. They run the number and either get nothing or just the upgrade keycode.
The weird thing about the KRS thing is that our ID brings up some other company's name that no one can identify.
Is it possible that I'm running on...
Well, BCM 400 Rls 3.7.
If you recall, we couldn't get into Apache. So we couldn't get our keycodes from there. We did follow some instructions that I found here to get the keycodes.kif file (I think it was called that) from the command prompt.
Having that file I told the tech's it was OK to...
I was able to get my keycodes by getting the .kif file.
However, there was no voicemail keycode and I'm certain we have voicemail.
Is it stored in a different place?
What I'm being told is that they can't configure it or do a backup or anything unless they're using the web interface.
The web interface doesn't come up because Apache isn't running.
He would like to reinitialize the system, but is afraid to because I don't have the paper version of our...
We're on version 3.7.
We're logging in via the Serial, we can't access via the web page because Apache isn't starting.
How will I be able to tell if it's Element or Unified manager?
I'm not in front of the box right now, I'll have to relay suggestions to my tech.
I have a BCM400 that I inherited. I am working with Qwest Technicians to get the system online but so far it's been a little frustrating.
They are the Nortel partner, so I have no direct access to nortel help to sort of help the process along.
We can log in as ee_admin to the console, but...
