Thanks Queball780 for the reply. I am fairly sure by now we have arrived at the same conclusion. Corruption in the BCM400. Your reply would help confirm our suspicions.
They just really need to look at moving to a newer system anyway for a variety of reasons, but of course telephones aren't...
I guess I'm not sure where to find the option to save the Programming Record.
I did get a backup done.
Right now it's functional and doing what I want so I am pretty hesitant to mess with it further because I hate to break it if it is working.
To follow up, I finally got to a phone to check. I forgot you could modify the server IP information from a phone so thanks for that reminder. I was able to modify the servers subnet mask from a phone, which is what I was wanting to do.
That didn't change the situation with BEM disconnecting...
ok, Tried on a Windows 10 machine (fresh install just in case) with the BEM download from the BCM and the latest version of java with the security changes.
Same result, disconnected when going to network interface.

I do now believe it must be a password issue. Initially though it was saying could not determine device type. I have tried the default password. I'm not saying somebody couldn't have changed the password but I am the only technician here so it would have to been an authorized access.

Using the link provided to the "BCM Application server" I try to get the BEM software 62.0.5 and it says "unable to package".
I go to the location shown in the log where saved and find EM-62.0.5.zip and find a 7707KB zip file and try to open it and it says...

Cannot determine device was coming up until I rebooted the bcm. Now it just rejects the password.
Ok, thanks for the ideas, but I am still stuck.
Java is 6 Update 43 I am running this on an old Windows XP Machine I use exclusively for this. Java hasn't been update since it was installed.

We have a BCM 400. I cannot log into it any more. I am the only one who administers it. The password I have written down so I know it should be right. When I try to access from the web it just keeps prompting continuously, from Element Manger it eventually says "cannot determine device type"...
