Hi
Thanks for the reply. The Windows test page shows horizontal gaps in text every inch or so and the same with Word. Printer works perfectly using Epson iprint from my smartphone and ipad. Just PC software causing problems.
Hi
I have been given an Epson SX235W wireless printer. It will print landscape from Excel perfectly and images in Word documents but when printing text every third line is missing or faint or only shows either the top or the bottom half of the text in the line. I have tried head cleaning and...
Thanks for the reply, that's really helpful. I'll try saving the database at work as an .mdb file next week.
However, I just tried saving an earlier version, also 2007, and including about 80% of the data as an .mdb but received the error message that I couldn't do this as the database used...
I set up a simple Access database on my laptop at home about nine months ago (Access 2007) and took a copy on a memory stick to work on at work. Since then I have been entering data at work and bringing a copy home to produce statistical analyses. Suddenly I cannot open the database copy on my...
Is there any reason why Excel 2007 might not retain saved changes to documents containing embedded data? A colleague is working on a shared document which, when opened the following day, no longer contains changes made to embedded data, even though the document was saved before closing.
I have two lists of numbers in separate Excel worksheets. How can I compare them so that I can identify those numbers in one list that are missing from the other and vice versa?
When I create a Word 2007 document containing pictures and then try to print it in book fold format, why do the pictures move around the document? If I save the document in Word 97-2003 format everything is fine, but how do I get around this in Word 2007?
Is it possible to use an existing Excel spreadsheet as the data for a chart in powerpoint 2007? I have successfully copied and pasted the data from Excel into Powerpoint, and have drawn the chart in Excel and then copied and pasted it into a blank slide, but is there any other way to create a...
Thanks cdogg, I can now access my files through turning the protection off via my other pc. Laptop still can't see the floppy section of the flash drive. BTW the flashdrive is an Integral 1GB usb2 device and the machine a Toshiba Satellite pro A120 running XP with SP2 and 2GB RAM.
I have an Integral 1GB USB flash drive which has built in password protection which appears as a 3.5 inch floppy drive. I have uninstalled Norton internet security and installed AVG free 8.0. The pc now cannot "see" the floppy drive section of the flash drive and I cannot access it to input...
The autotext drop down menu in the Word header and footer toolbar is an empty grey box. I have tried deleting normal.dot to force Word to rebuild it but this has not solved the problem. Any ideas?
From reading the posts suggested by Linney, I'm thinking that the problem may lie with the DVD drive software. How would I go about changing the DVD drive letter? Would this solve the problem if it was the DVD software? Sorry to be so thick!
Yes, the pen drive is shown and allocated drive letter E but still doesn't show up in My Computer window. Thanks for pointing me to the download. I also have an Integral pen drive and that works fine. It wants two drive letters, E and A but the Sandisk has only ever had E.
Thanks a lot, that's really useful. What I don't understand is why it works with some flash drives and not others. Are the registry settings different for different manufacturers and models?
When I plug my SanDisk Micro 1GB flash drive into my Toshiba Laptop, using XP home, the flash drive doesn't show in the My Computer window. I can "see" it as a removable device from Control Panel, but can't access the files from there unless I copy them to the PC first. Other flash drives work...
Using Windows XP, CD drive will only recognise music files. On trying to open CD via Explorer, message "Please insert a disk" displayed. Right clicking on drive and selecting properties doesn't help. External CD drive connected, worked for a short time, but then same messages appear. Any ideas?
