Hi, we use a Syabse SQL Anywhere database and I'm getting an EOleException error when it tries to access the web to do transactions.
It only happens on the workstations (most XP), never on the server (win2k). The developers have no reports of any other users with this issue.
Ive tried adding...
nevermind. I fixed it somehow. heres my new my.ini

Win 2000 server using IIS, Mysql 4.1.1, PHP w/zend optimizer
I have a shop that runs on PHP/Mysql and I cannot seem to get a good my.ini config to allow it fast response. It can go for about 8 hits then bogs down for a few minutes, then it's ok as long a no...
it will take someone a while to write a exploit program, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it. If you use your router for VPN or firewall protection, you may want to get backups. The worst case is probably just a router crash or shutdown. Nothing a reboot wouldn't solve.
I'm not sure I understand. It sounds like you dont have the tape software that was on the crashed HD?? No install cd? You may have to buy a new copy or call them to get a recovery CD sent to you. If it was MS backup, just do a clean install and it will be in your system tools.
Here's our situation:
We has a point-to-point T-1 Line between 2 win2k servers. We have a sybase databse application on one server and want the other server to use the database on the the 1st server. I've connected it via ODBC and it works but I'm looking to optimize the speed. Are there any...
We have a VPN setup with 2 linksys's using 3/4 of a T1 line and it works relatively good. You're best off getting a package deal T1 line for both your phone system and Data and ditch the cable and dsl. They aren't worth the headaches.
Should work fine as is. But why use the hub? The DSL modem will only assign 1 IP address so if you have more than one device attached to that hub, and the hub to the modem, then thats your problem. Thats why a router is better. A router is its own DHCP server and can assign multiple IP's for...
A PC has an IP for each network card it has installed and connected to something. If you have a router in between the PC and the internet, the router has 2 IP's. One on your PC netowrk, one on your ISP's network, and it "routes" between the two networks.
Sounds like a cheap 3com switch to me. Make sure your ethernet on the routers is set to full duplex as well. Any good switch should be able to auto-negotiate the rate if your router is at 10Mbs. I'd replace the swicth first, then troubleshoot from there. Try switch ports in the switch and see if...
