What is your goal here? You just want all unreleased generated PO's to have promise dates of 00/00/00?
I suspect MRP will always put in a promise date (due date) as it must know how long it takes to arrive in order to calculate a release date.
I'm not 100% sure, but I suspect the lead time...
Is there a way to add additional user fields to a screenset? For instance, item location table has user field 6 - 20, but the IM0201 screen set only has user_def_fld_1 through 5.
Using the screen set designer, I added an special entry field, made it user defined, then later a window popped...
There is a due date range, but I can't see any (+/-) day settings to exclude. Even if I was to use a due date range, that doesn't change the fact that the excpetion codes still apply. If there is a +/- day setting I can't find it.
And when I asked our VAR who asked Exact, I get the...
Too many on order and too early have very similar problems.
Too many is when our released PO's (qty on order) exceed our required order even though our po min and po mults are within an acceptable range. ie.. If we ordered 25 more then were required, we may have done so due to the fact that...
Pungy,
Thanks, I could use a little help. I've been trying to use someone elses suggestion (from another site) with visual studio 1.1 installer. So far no luck with that.
So if you wouldn't mind sharing some details on what to watch out for to avoid "first time user problems".
Also, was...
We are running Macola ES 9.5, and the MRP Exception report is less then desirable for us. Unless you have the exact amount required on order you are going to get an exception code for too many on order, or that that order is too early.
What we are looking for is a more logical report that we...
Can you give us more details to work with?
What is the menu path you use to run this report?
Is this really a shortcut, or is this from the menu option?
Is this a standard Macola (Cobol) report (ugly single font like from DOS days) or is this an integrated Crystal report?
If this is a...
I suspect this is not a bug but as Exact may say "by design."
From a programmers point of view I suspect that someone had to define the rules for how reports are calculated, how data is being captured and what data is important. (ie by design)
I think differnt companies may want to...
MRP will generate CP orders from all "Requirement" orders. Requirement orders would be classified as Shop Orders, Customer Orders, Customer blanket Orders, and negative inventory.
Based on all "requirements" MRP will show when you should place the order to get the material in time for the...
Changing/removing the alias didn't have any affect. We still have not found what's casuing the nightly MSL error.
Should we eventually find out what's causing this, I'll post it.
Dgillz... Running the MRP process as a deferred report is more than just a report. After the MRP regen, I'd run...
We did look at the alias and did make some changes. If they are successfull, I'll post back.
As far as logging out then back in every day, well.. that kind of defeats the purpose of having a dedicated PC setup just to run the one task. I want a "lights out" operation for this along with...
Well, it wasn't the power management option on the network cards. However, the deferred report ran, and after it ran, it lost connection.
NEmacGuy.. We've already tried all the known registry tweaks.
dgillz.. Install full client? What would constitute "full client?" I believe we installed...
We cheked our switches and there are no packets lost in any log files that we can see.
The report only takes 30 min or so to run, so I suspect the task doesn't get started and when it's time, to run, it can't reconnect to SQL.
We have tried running from different machines but the process has...
We run MRP nightly as a deferred report. But we can't seem to just set this up and run every day without it eventually failing. The deferred report may run good 3 nights in a row, but then all of the sudden, some MSL error pops up and the deferred report ends (of course) due to this error...
Flexability is definatly the way to go. We use Flex for printing lables (calling a crystal report) during receiving and it works great.
If you are looking for a Flex manual for Macola, they don't have one. I've been asking for years. The only one they have is the on for Progression. It can...
We just upgraded to v9.5 and I found that type0 (zero) error as well.
Just another thing to watch out for is a flex script using a crystal reports designer runtime library 10.0
After the 9.5 upgrade another flex application didn't work on some PC's.
The erro message that popped up showed...
IOMEGA eSata drives. You can get an eSata card (with 4 outputs) and you can connect up to 4 eSata drives in your Raid Array.
We are only using one eSata drive and it's fast. USB and Firewire are extremly slow compared to eSata. Our IOMEGA drive has eSata/USB which is nice if we ever want to...
