I'm using Macola ES, and when I generate unreleased purchase orders in MRP, It is filling in Promise dates and request dates automatically. I want the promise dates to be left blank and fill it only when we get acknowledgment from Vendor. Is there anyways I can avoid MRP doing that ?
Also FYI I checked the Item Vendor field and there is no "promise lead time" filled in for any of these items.
Thanks

My guess is it is using the item's PO lead time. I know of no way to disable or alter this.

What is your goal here? You just want all unreleased generated PO's to have promise dates of 00/00/00?

I suspect MRP will always put in a promise date (due date) as it must know how long it takes to arrive in order to calculate a release date.

I'm not 100% sure, but I suspect the lead time data is coming from item maintenance (planning lead time) and/or item location (PO Lead time + Doc to Stock).

I don't know how long you have orders in unreleased status, but I suspect you could have exact event manager update the poordlin_sql table and set the promise_dt field to null. I would have EEM clear the promise_dt field for all unreleased orders and set EEM to keep a history to allow this to only trigger once.

I have other ideas if you need more details.

Thanks everyone for your help.
FYI I figured out the problem and thought if I post here it may help someone in future, Whenever the Item vendor record is not filled in (contract dates, starting date, ending date) MRP puts promise date for unreleased PO's equal to "Request date". So I went ahead and did mass update(filled in dates) on item vendor record and now promise dates are printed out as 00/00/00 which is how we want it to be.
Thanks everyone for your help anyways.
