Automaticly MOVE event from one calendar to another...

We are running Outlook 2007 SP2, I have a user that has two different calendars and when certain events come in (Live Meeting Requests) she wants to move the item from one calendar to the other (NOT COPY). Every time I set this up as a rule it will create a new event on the 2nd calendar but it...

    Duplicate Emails...

robmazco you are not helping here. In Outlook you can set your delivery destination for a local PST instead of your Mailbox on the Exchange server. I know it has been this way since Outlook 97, and I am sorry that you have not heard of it. But this is what we are doing and it is not archiving...

    Duplicate Emails...

No robmazco, emails are not archived immediately. In Outlook you have the option to setup a PST to house your emails localy on your hard drive instead of keeping them on the server (this allows users to not have to worry about any kind of mailbox size limits).

    Duplicate Emails...

Thanks for your reply Wayne. No delivery forwarding setup for anyone. The people that have this problems have the delivery set to their PST. No one that keeps their mail on the server has this issue so removing the PST does stop this from happening. Also once I remove the additional mailbox...

    Duplicate Emails...

I have some users that are running Outlook 2007 that are having a problem when we add a additional mailbox to their setup (Tools-Account Settings-Change-More Settings-Add). The additional mailbox is fine with no problems. But what happens is their main mailbox starts receiving duplicate emails...

Screen Saver via Policy not working...

I have a Windows 2003 domain, and I am issuing a policy on the OU level that specifies a screensaver configuration for my users. It tells the system what screensaver to run, how long to wait (10 mins), and to prompt for password on resume. This works pretty good for my XP machines but my Vista...

    SMTP setup...

Nevermind, I had my Relay Restrictions set as my IP Range, 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.255, but it wanted the IP Range and Subnet setting.. 192.168.1.1 (255.255.255.0). I changed this and my emails starting going through. Hopefully someone will come across this and find it useful.

    SMTP setup...

I have installed SMTP on my Windows 2003 Server. I have it setup to with IP Address “(All Unassigned)”, Access control as Anonymous Access, Relay Restrictions as Only the list below, and I have my entire LAN IP range set there. Some cards come with their own software to handle this. Did you install that software or open it if it is already installed?

If GP is in the mix here then the Admin Templetes - Desktop- "Don't save settings at exit" flag could be set. Or several others for in GP for that matter.

Net logon causes slow login on IBM Thinkcentre

I would review the Event Viewer but PRPhx is right. If the login is trying to map drives that are not available on the network then each item would have to time out before moving to the next item in the login script. So it could slow things down. You could put your batch file on the desktop...

Mapped Drive does not appear in My Computer

What happens if you map it with a different drive letter? Can you show us your batch file? Have you tried running the /delete switch at the beginning of the script before mapping the drive?

    Map network drive window...

Thanks Vic, Ok I was able to go back and read this and see exactly what you were saying. I have set these as you suggested (on 1 OU for now)and will have to give it some time to see if it works. My initial testing of these changes does not seem to show a difference. I think this is to stop a...

Net logon causes slow login on IBM Thinkcentre

When this happens, do you see anything in the Event Viewer of these PCs? If this is a service or hardware issue then you will probably see something in Event Viewer that could lead you in the right direction.

    Map network drive window...

When I go into Active Directory Users and Computers under Mydomain.com I see a list of OUs. I pick one and hit Properties. Once the properties comes up I go to Group Policy. In the Group Policy Object Links I have an item called Network Share. I select this and hit Edit. When the Group...

    Map network drive window...

Thanks for the suggestion Victor but we don't really want to move this into a per user setup. The way it is now all users in the OU group gets the specified batch file and we can modify a single batch file and all users in that OU will get the changes the very next time that they login. So it...
