I would like to remove the old original batteries in my SV8300 1U and 2U chassis. Removing the batteries won't negatively affect the system as in loosing it's programming, correct?
Take a look at the E-Metrotel UCX. You are able to reuse all of your existing Nortel Meridian digital telephones, and supports SIP trunks and SIP phones. The phones will work just like the way they currently do, so your users will not have to be retrained. Take a look: http://www.newnortel.com/
I am attempting to register a few SIP Trunks with the SV8300. The SIP Trunk providers that I have been trying to connect are voip.ms and Flowroute. Neither of these two providers are on the list of certified NEC SIP Trunk providers. I cannot get the SIP accounts to register. I have been...
This is where I found mine:
http://www.necpbx.co.uk/downloads/49-applications/81-download-matworx-v13
This is version 13 and has worked for me on a Windows 7 64 bit machine. I also use the old Desiworx program on my machine and that works too.
Thanks. That's what I figured. I am going to have to try and look for a system that has the licenses already pre-loaded. I am also guessing that the UM8000 won't without the UMS Port licenses, correct?
Belevedere, thanks for the reply. Sorry it took a while to come back to this. I have been extremely busy lately but I didn't forget about this thread. I figured that the PZ-VM21 wouldn't work. I did successfully wire the RJ61 to a patch panel and the digital phones came up. Very happy about...
Two quick questions on the SV8300:
1) Can the PZ-VM21 be used for voicemail on the SV8300? The hardware manual states "In the SV8300, the PZ-VM21 can only provide an optional modem ability for remote maintenance functions.", but in the CompactFlash Voice Mail Specifications it says "UNIVERGE...
Hello,
Does anyone have a copy of the SV8300 PC Pro that they could share? I need a copy of it to program/learn an SV8300. I have been able to find other versions of PC Pro but not one for the SV8300. Thanks in advance for anyone that can help.
Hi all,
Have just acquired an NEAX 2000 IVS2, and I'm starting to program it. One issue I have is that I'm getting a "WD ERROR" message when I'm in CAT mode. For example, in command 10 when assigning a LEN, and press EXE, it does't say "OK", but "WD ERROR". I initially reset the system to...
Hello everyone,
I am brand new to Mitel and would like to get a Mitel lab. I have mainly been focused on Cisco Call Manager VoIP systems, but I would to look at Mitel. My question is: Would an older Inter-tel 5000 system be able to support the Mitel 5320/5330 IP phones, and if so what licensing...
Hi,
I see that you mentioned NEC and Avaya, but have you looked at E-Metrotel? E-Metrotel is the next generation Nortel replacement that allows you to upgrade your current PBX while keeping your existing Nortel phones. By going with a NEC solution, would require that you purchase all new...
Hello all,
I have a Cisco UC500 with one analog FXO line and SIP Service from voip.ms. We have our own Music on Hold that has been working great until recently. Internal calls recieve music on hold, SIP trunks play music on hold, however calls put on hold on the FXO line hear beeping. The weird...
No, I have not entered any Windows 10 Product Key at all. Windows has the problem with activation once I enter audit mode. I am begging to think that this does not work when you do an upgrade.
Hello All,
I have ran into a new issue with the Windows 10 Upgrade and Sysprep. Here is the situation: All of the computers are Windows 7 Professional. I go through with the upgrade process as normal, and upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. I create a local account and verify that Windows is...
Hello All,
I am working on creating a Default User profile so when users logon for the first time they get a customized profile. I am using Windows SIM and Sysprep. The issue I have is when I set the default apps in the Administrator's profile, they are reset after sysprep runs. For...
Hi Hawks yes I do realize you can run other phones other than Nortel phones on the system, but isn't the whole point of the system to run proprietary Nortel telephones? You can download Asterisk, FreePBX, Elastix, etc. and do the exact same things with SIP phones for free, correct? From my...
@RLSbutton: Hi Joe thanks for getting back with me. I am a huge fan of all of the videos that you have produced as well as your blog in which you feature phones you see out. I check your website almost daily to see what your latest phone is! I will try to make contact with some of the people...
