I have a client (now out of state) that burns thru T7406E every 2-3 years.
I ordered a replacement, direct shipped.
I have the manual....to talk THEM thru set-up
Manual states:
You cannot assign the same port ID to two handsets. If you assign a handset a port ID that is already used by a...

Your very nice to respond.
I noticed that awhile back....no contact info
On out fellow user's...no PM as the other sites :)
I now have two defective units...
Pretty sure ...I.... killed them this time.
Whereas I would love to have That VUP, it is mo longer
Critical.

HELP ANYONE have a copy or access to VUP program used for XPRESS MAIL 2000 ?
My old laptop had it but died.
I always use DTMF programming, but have a Crashed VM and want to
Download the iold data etc.
Lot of systems use VUP

NEAX
You state: "Since it is a CP24, it can be used as a main system CPU provided it has 64-Port and Key Keeper software loaded on it"
How do I verify that?
You also mentioned "convert the existing database to R6.2 format. "
Looks like I WILL be Loading the EXISTING client s/w 3900 Series R14...
NEAX....I like your idea
Last thing first......BOTH the client's existing and the remote CPU are P1 3900 Series R14 !!
So I would not need to convert anything?
Maybe that is why the one time I uploaded the client data to CARD 1 R6.1,
and did NOT perform Command 00-90-0.... it acted all...
.........SO
Card 1, CP24-A
Command F85-FF03- F1 (3100 Series R6.1)
I would imagine the short run of the promotion means less practical knowledge is out there.
Existing System
Command F85-FF03- P1 3900 Series R14
Should it take a LOAD/SAVE VERIFY ? it didn't seem to.
3900 R14 onto a 3100...

In one sense.....info on an out of production product line,
in another, Info someone else may use as we try to keep these things running!
I know I read and read looking for answers, limited by my inept questions.
As always, saying THANKS right from the start.

THANKS neax
I am in Calif. The two 2PIM systems I bought were off ebay, Shipped within USA.
I bought whole system, relatively cheap, meaning I don't think they threw in a 2nd Cabinet to "make" it or call it an expanded system (mo $$)
3 digit answer seemed odd to me, so I threw it in...
YeeeHawww
I'm getting somewhere.
As you can see by the dates....I'm stringing this out. I had replaced some cards (IP, analogue Sta etc) with 8DLC and bought some time......Next Add I'll need more D-terms.
So.....I was Completely off on the B vs C load.
Tek-Tips Rocks, Thanks guys.
So your...
Thank you belevedere
I suspected the use a B or C would be best for me. B load especially.
However, the more I read, the more confused/leery I become.
IMAGINE:
I, non NEC dealer (lil guy), gets new client to service NEC 2000 IPS, They got when they moved in building. Real vanilla, VM 8DLC's...
This is a client who moved into a building with the 2000 existing. We have squeezed out every port. (Gone to all 8 port cards, replaced unused card with 8DLC's etc)
Strange, F88:01 said, PIM :0000 NEW SYSTEM, didn't list a number
F88:01 said, PIM :0001 Existing system
But CMD...
I have an NEC2000IPS Client with One Pim, VM, T1 & 8DLC's.
Very Simple, Very straight forward. 3 digit EXTs
They have run out of Ports... to add Phones.
I picked up a 2 PIM switch....as I just need the second chassis,PWR and the MP card (expanded/licensed)
Seems I got a "Remote" system setup...
Thought I would follow up, tho I am the only one interested.
This will be in search for future fools like me.
HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH
OW!!!
In the end it was......
wait for it
:)
Tone/Voice Ring (V/T)
Seems obvious, huh?
Well as I tested Incoming rings to this operators
phone...it always...
I am lost...I can't find any directions on an analoge cordless.
NEC 2000 IPS. Operator = Ext.200. DTR-16D-1 just added an AP(R)
with Power. Tried APr in BOTH Slots.
Operator also is a CSR rep, 5 lines Ring her and all CSR Reps.
She has X200 and X300 (virtual)
I get dial tone on Cordless...
So I did a call forward (F4) Rings first time everytime.
That's telling me it's programming.
The lines R&A on the cordless.
Prime to the T7316
It acts like maybe a delayed ring or something.
ANY suggestion?
VM/AA Nights (FYI)
curlycord, thanks for some direction.
Feature 4 certainly suggests that it is not a sleep mode issue.
I have seen it work perfect all the time when awake.
I am not sure/not there about Prime. I would expect it to be
the Operator/7316, X239.
But since someone-thru the years- changed Operator...
Bunnie, does that use that same base as a 7406E?
So I went out there to verify the reports.
(DID's for 3 company Main #'s, A&R on 7316 and 7406)
YEP. 1 sometimes 2 rings before it comes alive.
You would think it was ALWAYS one or two.
That makes it feel like a capacitor is filling up or...
