This was done on the CallPilot server. The settings I discussed are for the network properties of the CLAN NIC card. This is the card that attaches callpilot to your local network and is on the DNS tab. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the input. We were running CallPilot 2.02 something (WinNT). I am not sure what the exact number was. The upgrade was basically done from scratch. New hard drive, then three 2003 server CDs, then all of the PEPs, and last import from backup on tape. That is one of the reasons I...
We recently had our vendor upgrade our CallPilot to 04.04.04.17. I watched him do the upgrade and it was very clean. However, when I am looking at the event logs I see certain events that concern me. I would like thoughts and opinions regarding these events.
The first one is: "Dialogic Event...
Excellent reply, you were exactly right. The issue is that there is no gateway configured on the device that I need the reply from. I have contacted my vendor to have them rectify this. I used wireshark to prove that with the gateway we started receiving ICMP replies. In thinking about this...
I have a server that has two NICs. One of them is IP'd at 192.168.12.100 with no gateway. 192.168.12.0 is a small seperate internal network. The other one is IP'd at 192.168.15.100 with a gateway of 192.168.15.1. This is the main network. The subnets are so that these are seperate networks...
Sorry about the delay. It took me a while to actually figure out how to fix it. Bottom line is that the CLAN IP information was not correct. CLAN IP Properties / Advanced / DNS / Append these DNS suffixes (in order). This is where I added the rest (suffix) of the FQDN. When you do ipconfig...
We just upgraded Call Pilot to 4.04 and the upgrade went well. The only issue we have found is with faxing from a XP desktop using the Nortel Fax printer. The screens come up just like they used to but we get the following message. "Failed to send fax message. Would you like to save the...
Yes, we had that turned on. We were under the impression though that if there were two intercom keys, then the second call would still ring to the set and not be considered busy. Obviously, we are wrong on that assumption? Thanks for your help.
We have BCM50s out at our branches. We have three T7316 phones at each desk. We have them programmed with two intercom keys. We have four analog lines which are assigned to each set. The analogs were changed from appear only to ring & appear. Now, when a person is on their phone and the external...
I am running CallPilot 201i on Windows NT4.0. I know, I have been working on getting this upgraded via my vendor for a year now. DST on my switch (Succession 1000 v3)is working fine. DST from CallPilot is working fine for voicemail time stamp on the phones. We manually changed the time on...
I am capturing syslog events from numerous cisco switches and have noticed my 2950 switches generate link up/down as errors when a connected device is rebooted. I obviously need to collect all error level events from these switches but do not really consider these link up/down messages as being...
Hello,
We have 16 BCM50s in our network. One unit at each of our branch locations. All of them are running version 1.00.2.04.g with the following patches applied: BCM050 .025-DSP-FPGA, .016-CORE, .001-CFS, .081-SOFTWARE-MANAGEMENT, .083-CUMULATIVE, .039-DSP-FPGA.
The problem we are having is...
I spent quite a while reading all about caller id in this forum yesterday. By looking at my system I am fairly confident that things are configured correctly. However, on external incomming calls I never get name, just number. I monitored my D channels and sure enough I never see any name...
Sorry about the delay in getting back. I have been out of the office. Let me explain better if I can. All of the DIDs ride on a ISDN PRI. The format of all of the DIDs is say 216-475-xxxx. The new out of sequence DID that I just found out about is say 330-492-xxxx. This unique number has...
I just found out that I need to make a DID with a different area code target to a specific set. I am wondering what the best way to accomplish something like this would be. I am assuming that I am going to have to change my public numbers from only being four digits to having to be seven...
Thanks for the help. I was able to figure out my problem. There were actually two things that seemed to be incorrect. First, on the enabled physical lines for the prime the prime set was not to the phone I wanted. I guess the first call made it to the set because of the assigned target line...
I have a BCM400 v3.6 with an ISDN PRI. The PRI works for the first call in on the main number. The call hits the receptionist phone where I can do what I want with it. However, when I place a second or more simultaneous calls to the main number the calls (other than first) go to the general...
Both KGrant and NorstarExpert thanks for posting. In the several hours of searching that I did on this issue this was the only place anywhere that had any relavant information. It also worked great for me. Stars to both.
