The security database on the server does not have a computer account f

I also recently installed a MSSQL database on here which I've heard can cause similar problems. There was also a entry in the list that began with MSSQL which I removed but it didn't seem to help.

The security database on the server does not have a computer account f

This is what I have listed: HOST/servername HOST/servername.ad.domain.com HOST/servername.ad.domain.com/ad.domain.com HOST/servername.ad.domain.com/domain Should I keep all of those? Or remove one? I also have others that begin with LDAP, DNS, exchange, etc.

The security database on the server does not have a computer account f

I built a new Windows 2008 server (domain controller) a couple of weeks ago and everything seemed to go okay. Today I went to reboot it and when I try and login I get this error: "The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation" Since it's a DC I...

    Replacing Win2k3 with Win2k8 server

When I delete it.. I'm assuming I want to select: "Replicate deletion of the record to other servers (tombstone)" Is that right?

    Replacing Win2k3 with Win2k8 server

I was able to find the listing for the old server name in WINs. Can I just delete it? Will deleting it affect the other server that has the same IP?

    Replacing Win2k3 with Win2k8 server

I've tried that. But I can still ping the old server name.

    Replacing Win2k3 with Win2k8 server

I've come up with one problem after doing this. It appears that I can still ping the server using it's old name. Now both the old and new name ping to the same IP. Where can I get rid of the old hostname? I've looked in DNS.. should I also look in the WINs settings?

    Replacing Win2k3 with Win2k8 server

I need a little guidance... I currently have a Windows 2003 DC (that also handles DHCP/DNS/WINS/Print) that I want to replace with a new Windows 2008 server. I've found instructions on how to migrate all of the services over to the new server. The new server will have a new name but I'd like...

    Ultra66 drivers for Windows 2003?

I think I'm going to try the cheap one first. If that doesn't work I'll go for the other one. Thanks again.

    Ultra66 drivers for Windows 2003?

Well, that is a humorous solution to my problem it doesn't actually help. Does anyone know of a way to get this card to work under Win2k3?

    Ultra66 drivers for Windows 2003?

I've been trying to use an old Promise Ultra66 card in my Windows 2003 server but so far haven't been able to find any drivers that will work. I've tried the ones from the Promise website and several other sources. Has anyone else gotten this card to work? Thanks.

Tapes marked full - plenty of space left

Where do I go to check for hardware errors? We only have one drive.

Tapes marked full - plenty of space left

I got the slot set for cleaning and was able to clean the drive successfully. Unfortunately I'm still having the 'Full tape' issue. Any other suggestions?

Tapes marked full - plenty of space left

It thinks that my cleaning tape is in slot 16 but we only have 8 slots. So I went to change it to slot 8 and it told me that it can't use it because it's in the 'available slots' range. Where do I exclude slot 8 from the available slots? Can I do that from the GUI?

Tapes marked full - plenty of space left

I tried loading the cleaning tape but I'm still having the same issues. I did check the media log in the nsr folder and I'm seeing this message: "NetWorker cleaning cartridge required: (notice) Jukebox `QUANTUM@4.5.1' Unable to find a cleaning slot in jukebox `QUANTUM@4.5.1' for device...

Problem with vpmsece3.dll when opening Outlook 2007

Yeah, I thought about using a login script to delete extend.dat. Again though, that's a messy process and I think there should be some way of avoiding it. But that doesn't look to be the case. We don't use SMS but we have Altiris. So there might be a way to push it out with that and delete...
