Hi donb01,
You hit it on the nail on your last statement.
Everyone's calendars are shared, so if someone calls in, for example, we can see where and what someone is doing.
For example, John has in his calendar that he will be at the Dentist for 10am. I am able to see this in his calendar...
Thanks once again donb01. I'm actually trying to contact Nitix themselves to ask them about the Exchange. It plugin.
Another thing (i'm not sure if it is related or not), but we have one Outlook 2007 client, and they keep getting the reminder's for everyone's appointments. This, of course is...
Hi donb01,
Thanks for your reply. Just so I understand this correctly, someone's autoarchive settings could mess with everyone's Calendar's?
Thanks - I will check these settings.
Hi,
We are running a NITIX email server with the Exchange. It plug in. However, after about 2 months, everyone's non-reoccurring Calendar items are being deleted and ending up in everyone's deleted items folder. The Manager's frequent their past calendar items quite regularly, so this is...
Hi lwcomputing,
Thanks for your info!
I never setup this network, but right now it has only roaming profiles (no folder redirection) for the desktops, and non-roaming profiles for the laptops.
I am seriously thinking of implementing folder redirection.
1. Is it good practice to have folder...
Hi Server Guru's,
Our network (Windows Server 2003) has roaming profiles but without folder redirection. It is my understanding that, for example, the My Documents folder sits on both the local machine and the server, and just gets sync'd at the logoff? correct?
Anyhow, we are experiencing...
Davetoo,
Can you explain that a little more?
___
Server is ourdomain.local[192.168.0.254]
--Scope[192.168.0.0] domain
____
In here somewhere?
Thanks again!
Brad
Update:
Apparently Markvision server is running on the main server to manage jobs sent to the Lexmark All-In-One.
But, this doesn't explain the DNS issue we are still getting.
Also, re: Hosts file:
- all the workstations and the server have the current IP address and domain in the Hosts...
Hi Guys,
Ok, I think something is really buggered on our network.
Server - IPCONFIG
IP Address: 192.168.0.254
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
Workstation IPCONFIG
IP Address: 192.168.0.###
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
Now this is where it...
Hello Again,
Bigdaddy - yes, I've checked the HOSTS file and also added the new IP in there.
Davetoo - I will check the DHCP settings tomorrow when I'm back at work.
Thanks for helping me out!
Brad
Hi Davetoo,
1. Yes, I've looked everywhere in the dns management console for the old IP address, but can't find anything.
2. The person who setup the Web and Email server, just has "ourdomain.com" for what we put into the smtp and pop3 servers.
I cannot find anything with "mail." in front of...
Hi Davetoo,
Yes, I've already tried /flushdns, but it is still pulling up the old IP address when resolving to our domain.com.
Thanks for you help,
Brad
Hi lhuegele,
Thanks for your quick reply.
I've checked the Forward Lookup zone in the DNS for my domain, and they appear to be correct (the IP address listed for mydomain.com is the proper one, and not the old one).
If I ping mydomain.com, It comes up with the old IP address. Since...
Hi Everyone,
I'm a newbie to the Server software, so everyone bear with me :)
My Problem:
We switched internet providers, and after about 24 hours, the new IP Address was updated over the world. However, the old IP address of our domain and email server are still reading the OLD IP address...
