why is 3.2 needed? Not sure I can get that scheduled anytime soon. I have the HTTP server working and am able to login to WebLM. As for TFTP, I've found that the one I'm using is far superior than the one that comes with Manager. It also runs as a Windows service.

Thanks MagicStardust!

Using 3rd party TFTP server. I have WebLM running on my VM Pro server where the key dongle is.
I'm expecting a call today...
Thanks MagicStardust.
I'm dealing directly with Avaya and they can't seem to come up with this information. Are you currently running this on an IPO?
I can't wait to confront them with this information. ;-)
Anyone have any news on this? I was told today that there are no plans to support this on IPO and that no one knows how to generate a WebLM license for the IPO.
It amazes me that the ECS people can't seem to get together with the IPO side of the house and get this done.
We know it works for...
Hey superikey,
I've been fighting that battle for over a month now. Still no license file. In fact, yesterday I was told that VPNRemote on the 46xx was never intended to be released for IPO - ECS only. It's somewhat ironic that Avaya has tech docs addressing the VPNRemote for 46xx on IPO...
I have a remote worker that's been without a phone for 2 weeks now. Can't get the license from Avaya. The "order prevention desk" is working overtime on this one. ;-)

The 176 options (CallSv, FileSv, port) are entered in the same DHCP configuration sequence. You should be able to get an address lease, unless your broadband company is doing something stingy with your DHCP server and only issuing leases to certain MAC addresses. Could it be a layer 1 issue...
The VPNRemote R.2 software license uses WebLM. The software for the phone, WebLM and all the documentation can be downloaded here:

brightkat,
The VPN software overcomes the 176 options requirement by allowing you to enter these settings manually into the phone. However, your problem seems to be something else. It sounds like maybe the phone is not fully configured for DHCP. When the phone is starting (and DHCP is...
Thanks, MagicStardust.
My user's phone died this morning - won't connect. I'm assuming that the 30 day eval has expired. Are you telling me that I can replace a .bin on the phone and get it working again with the version 2.0 VPNRemote software? That might be a challenge since my user is 900...
I've had a remote user using a 4610 into a PIX for over a month. This week, the phone started displaying a warning message that the trial period was about to expire. The reseller I've been working with told me that Avaya said that no additional licensing was needed. I have them rechecking...
I've set up a user with Phone Manager 3.1.17 to log into an IP extension on our 406v2 (3.1.65). No errors are reported when starting PM, but it takes several attempts before a successful call is made (the dial window clears and nothing happens), and when that finally happens, the base extension...
Thanks, intrigrant.
Should I be surprised (or concerned) that I could not get anyone at Avaya to provide an answer? I'm still waiting for a return call 1 week later . . .
Do you know if I will need an SG200 or will an SG5 do the trick?
Is it possible to set up an IPO to act as a VPN endpoint for a 46xx VPNRemote enabled phone? I'd like to equip a remote user with a VPN enabled 4610 to use from his SOHO network. I am unable to find any supporting (or contradicting) information. We purchased IPSec licensing for our 406, but I...
