Does anyone know how i cant disapprove IE7.0 on wsus 3.0..i dont even see it listed, i see alot of updates for it but not IE7.0 install. I have been looking every where for answers but no luck. ?
Have you tryed mapping it on your own computer, or another computer to see if you experience the same slowness?
If no then you know there is something wrong with the install
Reinstalling TCP/IP is probobly your best bet because it will rebind the stack to the nic card.
Try deleting the Wins entry first since its a easier step.
You can have multible host name with different IPS, in DNS< i just suggested it as an extra procaution.
Check your DNS manager to see if you see any dup records.
Alos are you running Wins on the server? Please remove it if you are.
WHats the source of the error?
Eventid.net is a great source to check. I would look at it for you if i had the source for this error
Why not just demote DC2 then promote it again.
I found it much easier to do that than waist hours on trying to fix a certain errors when it comes to DCs.
This all depends on your kick, if you like the challange then enjoy, if you just want to get it fixed then demote/ promote.

What type of permissions are you using?
Example, if prison/john needs access to a folder, give him access, they need to login as john to the domain prison to access the folder.
