I have 2 windows 2003 DCs, i usually swithc all FSMO roles over to the other and reboot one at the time and viceversa.
My quesiton is on the GC, i have all FSMO roles runninng on one as well as the GC. Should i enable both as GC?
We have a small netowrk of 150 users on a lan. ALso i get an a warinig regrading having GC on the same server as of the FSMO roles, DOnt recall which one

Just when i need to do upadtes and reboot. I only have one domain, and 2 dcs. i was told that i need to switch over the roles before rebooting and not just do a reboot.
Also, what happens if the DC1 holding all FSMO roles crashes, could i just swithc everything over as i do when i reboot?

There's no need to move the roles for a simple reboot.

If the servers crashes and dies then you can seize the roles and then rebuild the crashed DC.

Most of the roles could be down for days or weeks (depending on how often objects are created in AD, if you have NT or Windows 9x machine on your network) before anyone would notice any issues.
