I have just installed WSUS on a machine running win2003server, i dont want to use it for my servers and/or i dont want to use a gpo for it, how can i change the setting on the machines to use my wsus server installed on the intranet?

I use a reg file with a login script, i dont have it handy but i will post it tomorrow if you dont get any better solutions.

Why wouldn't you use the GPO for this since it's designed to handle the process? You just don't assign the GPO to your server OU.

yep just use the GPO, assign it to your clients, and not servers. I have done it just like that and it works a treat.

The only problem is that we have everyting under one ou, computers. should i create new OUs, and move comptuers there, then apply the GPS?
Also, i found it really hard to work on wsus 3.0.
I was trying to disapprove IE7.0 cause of some compabillity issues with a software we run, and i could nt find a way.
I didnt see the update.

Does anyone know how i cant disapprove IE7.0 on wsus 3.0..i dont even see it listed, i see alot of updates for it but not IE7.0 install. I have been looking every where for answers but no luck. ?
