Let me explain my environment:
I have a tape library with 129 slots and 4 drives.
In the tape library software I can’t make a partition without a drive, and I don’t want to lose any drive.
Also, I try to remove some plastic and define another cleaning cartridge, but without any success.

I am interested how other solves this problem, because I have license for autochanger with 128, and I have 129 slots.
I consider that is absurd to buy a license for 256 to use 129.In NW 7.2, I solve this problem by modifying resource file, but in NW 7.3 don’t work.
On the other hand, the next...
Dose anyone use IBM 3584 Tape library, I’m interest in how manage license from NW, because doesn’t match in license for Autochanger with 128 and 256 from Legato ? IBM license 129 –slots and 287 slots for the library
Maybe I wasn’t 100% clear , What I want to tell is that legato request another tape before the actual tape is marked full.
Instead I go to the bank with 3 tapes full, I must go with 2 full, and 2 tape 50%used.
I notice that for a while.

Hello,
When I clone I discover that my tapes are not marked full, before NW request to mount another tape.
I expect that NW use new tape only when current tape is full.

The problem is from jukebox, if I make virtual library with 128 slots, I will lose 1 tape drive. On the other way if I tray to make a logical library with all the slots, library software include automatically the slot number 129, witch is a "Non addressable slot"

The df command on the file system containing the volume show that the real size is 300GB and only...
The tape are new, and label on the NW server.
I think the problem is generated because I don't use the vedor drivers for the tape library, I use native Linux.
