Invalid Session Header error on recovery

Thanks for the reply. I've updated our software by installing SP2, Device Patch 9, and the security patch. Unfortunatly, I still have the same issue. I tried to do a restore by media and it went through the restore process but the folder it restored to was empty and the job log said 0kb and 0...

Invalid Session Header error on recovery

Hi, We're using BrightStore ARCserve Backup r11.1 (Build 3060). I'm trying to do a restore using the restore by session and I keep getting the error message Invalid Session header signature (SIG=0000000) no matter which tape I use to restore from. All I need is one file from the backup...

    SP2 upgrade issue

Thanks for your reply. This is only an issue when the PDF file is generated within a Unix system and then e-mailed to us. We are rewriting the code on our Unix programs to take the new method into account. We were just hoping for a work around so we wouldn't have to do this. Thanks anyway. BJ

    SP2 upgrade issue

Hi all, We upgraded our Exchange 2k3 server yesterday to SP2. We are now having an issue with attachments being converted to .dat files, specifically PDF files. I've searched through Microsofts KB articles and found that Exchange changed their method of dealing with uuencoded (unix)...

Subtracting holidays from a count of Saturdays in Excel

Hi all, I have a formula that is counting Saturdays for me. The formula is: =SUMPRODUCT(--(WEEKDAY(ROW(INDIRECT(A18&":"&B18)))=7)) This is working well for me with one exception. I need it to NOT count the holidays that land on Saturday. I have a list of the holidays that I don't want it to...

Outlook 03 Rules and envelope notifications question

Hi kopja, There is a place in the rules where you can have the specific e-mail marked as "read". I think that would take care of having the yellow envelope in your toolbar from coming up. BJ

IT Creep reading everyones email for his own pleasure

It could be considered creating a hostile work environment. I think it most states that is grounds for legal action. BJ

Exchange server seams to have stopped!!

Hi Craig, We have the same setup. I've had this happen and for us, it's usually the DHCP service that has stopped. Check all your services to make sure the necessary ones are running. Last resort, you could reboot the server. Hope this helps BJ

Query MSSQL View Data into Word form fields

You could set up the Word document as a mail merge template using your database as the data source. That might work. BJ

Converting from CA ARCserve to NT Backup

Thanks for the response lwcomputing. It is a known issue (at least that's what their website said and no fix) with the version of ArcServe that we're using that it will not allow compression when using an Iomega REV drive. From what I've read NTbackup will allow the REV drive to compress...

Converting from CA ARCserve to NT Backup

I thinking about converting our current backup from CA to the NT backup. We're running SBS2k3 and Exchange 2k3. The backup is running on an external tape drive and with CA we can't get the compression we need. It's my understanding that with NTbackup I can get compression on an external tape...

MS Word has encountered a prob. keeps occuring

Probably a silly question but have you checked for viruses? Also this article in Microsoft's knowledgebase might be helpful. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835262/en-us The symptoms sound like what you've described. Hope this helps. BJ

When you boss has done something very wrong...

I ran into something similar where I'm at now. However, we don't have any policies in place and the person in question was the owner. Needless to say, I did nothing. I know that doesn't help your situation. With that small of an office I would take some time to do some heavy duty thinking...

    Forwarding mail without user knowledge

Just curious, where is the setting in Exchange to make sure it's delivered to both mailboxes. Is in the same tab that you use to forwarded the e-mails? I don't recall seeing that option. BJ

Is there a limit to how many UNIONs in one statement?

Thanks feherke, I appreciate it. I have taken it apart. The strange thing is when I run each SQL statement separately they each work fine. It's only when I put them together that it ignores the second statement. I've tried with just statement one and two, all I get is the data from...

Is there a limit to how many UNIONs in one statement?

Thanks for the reply feherke. I have used UNION ALL between the first two selects and it's made no difference. The difference between the two selects is the first one is pulling sales from sale_item.selling_price where selling_price is > 0. The second is pulling sales from sale_item.price...
