Try shorting the battery on the motherboard for about 10 seconds to reset the system to a clean config prior to installing the older version of software.

I'm trying to install a Startalk Flash 4 Ver 1.36 on a newer CICS version 30CGE02 NAT. The system recognize the ports as STK1, but it doesn't respond to F983, F985 or calling it. Are the systems compatible or could I have a defective Startalk?

I have no problem connecting with an external US Robotics modem, however when I try and use any of 3 internal 56K modems the connections always fails.
Is there a setting on high speed modems or within SPM that allows for connections at 1200/2400 baud?
Thanks.
I am having trouble connecting manually with high speed internal modems at 1200/2400 baud. Using external US Robotics works fine, but none of my internal modems work. Is there a setting on internal modems to allow them to connect properly?
I've installed a NAM at a customer who had a Startalk. They used to dial * in while listening to a greeting or leaving a message to transfer to another extension. Now * exits the system. What am I missing? Appreciate any help. I can't see it in the books.
