Thanks micker, It's an OEM install of XP, but I guess the procedure would be the same. Was just hoping there was a backup some where.

I just notice that "All Programs>Games" had nothing but "Yahoo" games in it and all the MS games that were there are gone. How can I get the stock games back in?

Hello Crowley16, After the cursor flashes an icon of a disc for a while...nothing. If I open "my Computer", F drive doesn't show a disc. Open F drive and it says to insert a disc. Any player I try says no disc inserted. It does play audio CD's. I thought it might be a driver or missing decoder...

Hello, I used to be able to play DVD's on this player, but now I get, "please insert disc" no matter what I do.I can still play audio cd's. I've tried updating the decoder but it will not install. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi bcastner, Well although changing 'Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart)' didn't allow flash, it did allow me to reinstall the Flash Player. All is well, now. Thank you very much.

Hi bcastner, Did both, didn't help.I shut off my add on blocker. If XP has a blocker, I can't find it.

Hello, Does anyone know why I can't view a flash site with IE browser, but if I switch to Mozilla/Foxfire I can? Example..http://www.fsalpha.com/home.shtml shows as "X" where the pics are supposed to be. Changed to default settings, didn't help. Not just that site.
