I typed your error message on google search this is what I found...If you do mess with your registry editor you should back up your files
how did you try going to last good config?...By booting xp disk? Did you have working video when you did that? Before Windows boots up do you have a screen showing Ram test-master/slave configuration, etc. etc. It could be bad video card or drivers or even your monitor
