Thanks for the help. I will try that. Another interesting tid bit. When doing a weekly normal backup to tape I have had no problems backing the server up. I just have issues on the daily normal backup.
I have two Exchange 5.5 servers on two different domains. One is connected by ISDN the other by T1. What is the best way to sync just the GALs between the two servers.
You can check the size of the individual folders by go to the Outlook Today folder at the top of the folder list in Outlook and then right click >> Properties >> Click the Folder Size... BUTTON. It will display the size all folders in the mailbox including Calendar and Contacts.
I also had the same problem. I had Win98 clients connecting to a NT4 server fine, but when I upgraded the server to Win2k I would get the same error. We finally just had our external client connecting to the VPN upgrade to WinXP. Everything is great and fast.
I get the following message almost everytime I backup our Exchange 5.5 server on NT4 SP6a server. Although Tuesday it gave me this message. Everyday since is just wasn't able to connect to the Exchange directory. Another weird thing is after this failed I ran the backup job manually right...
I had tremendous problems getting my OnStream drives to work with BE 8.5. I ended up upgrading the firmware on the drives. This fixed all my problems.
The types of problems I saw were:
* Label media errors
* Actually backing up data
