If no one is logged into the phone, can the 1st 3 buttons still be treated as part of the inbound main DID call group ?
I am somewhat familiar with hot desking, but I recall that the phone was inactive if no one was logged in.
...with another company . Just short of calling codes from the telco carrier on the lines, does the IPO allow me to do a login that automatically *locks* the phone after x amount of time. Inbound calls I can pick up any time, but for outbound, it would require a log-in of some sorts.
I'm...
Actually it's more of a applet that allows you to click on *any phone number* that it sees in a email signature, webpage, etc and it would call it via the handset ?
My blackberry has this *feature*. It's pretty slick in that if I am reading and email, and there is a phone number in the email...
New Office. 2 Wan lines + possibly a 3rd.
Wan 1 is a bonded T1 (3 meg)
One voice trunk coming out of a shared T1 on one of the WAN. 12 channels/12 channels.
Planning to use a VWIC card to drop the T1 in and come back out via DSZ/E1 interface to put into the PRI card on the PBX switch.
With...
Just playing around with the lifter setup on the plantronics headsets. Does it work when the phones are vertical pitched or only when the phone is flat ? CS70 to be exact on the model
I got a chance to use a 4412 on a IPO 403. The sound quality of the 4412 was what I expected - clean clear sound. Nothing unlike the 4621 I used all day yesterday.

Is IP phones truely that much of a difference from a SQ perspective ? I...
I've searched and searched but simultaneous ringing -aka. mobile twinning, does it only allow 1 phone # to be twinned to or can I add lets say a mobile cell # and home phone # to the twinned extension.
Have you done a TCO between going digital systems vs. Pure IP. Cost of cabling versus costs of keeping a managed network for the IP phone systems. Take all these into consideration as each has it's own pros and cons.
Just short of material being a slight upcharge, if you end up pulling cable...
...I would put in into ANY business environment.
Just one mans opinion. I hate it when someone calls me on a bad connection and both parties are now *struggling* to hear each other rather than hang up. Business = $$$ and at the end of the day I would rather spend more $$ for telecommunications...
...I use a Polycom 601 that is hosted via a provider that uses the Broadsoft switch and L3 as the backend provider. The phone connectes through the *net* and not through my transit provider. The voice/sound quality is easily 2-3X better than the 4621 I was monkeying around with today.
I...
Are they reselling the T1 service ?
Here is the deal - once VOIP hits' the public internet, no QOS can be maintained , regardless of how you have your OWN internal network. Thus , some of you issues may stem or all of your issues may stem from that.
I am not a SE gurus, but it is well known...
I am researching the IPO suite of products.
If using IP phones and calling OUT via the pri, will I need a VCM module? Or is the VCM module mainly for remote IP phones over a VPN ?
In addition, if qos, quality switchs, vlan, etc is setup properly with the 4620SW running on G711 codec, is there...
If you guys know which tier1 providers offer this, please name some...
I spoke with one of my brokers today and he offered the XO, Qwest and GLX offering. He was pushing the XO hard and preferred not to quote Qwest due to long lead times on porting and installs. However, he advised that XO...
...plan to bring in a voice pri into a Cisco csu/dsu and then port channels 1-6 for myself via DSX1 and channels 7-17 via FXS, how can I maintain proper outbound CID.
I have yet to ask the carriers, but is it common for a telco carrier to publish CID name for 2 companies under *one billing...
