Hello guys.
I'm using Nortel Norstar system ver. 6 to which I have monitoring and call recording capabilities.
I already spoke with NICE, VoiceGate to look for the solution which will connect to the PBX and allow me:
1. Recording of conversations at specific phone(s)(read DID).
2. Will allow...
100% sure.
The only thing I still not clear on is when I set the second card to be of T1 type. Does system automatically assign it to pool B or I have to do this?
If it should be done manually - how it is done.... I didn't find any answers in Norstar documentation.
Thanks,
Yuri.
We have following setup:
Initally there was PRI line that now serves all the business users.
Now we want to connect the secondary dedicated T1 line to serve the long distance calls.
Given this setup what is most optimal approach to connect and use dedicated T1 line.
Thanks for help,
Yuri.

Absolutely sure.
I just went to Maintenance section and disconnected the KSU(2). Then I went to Hardware and changed the setting for 2 card to be T1. And then I connected the KSU(2) again.
Now I will have to assign the T1 to pool B. How do I do this?
Thanks,
Yuri.
It is Nortel Norstar.
The line that I'm trying to connect is the dedicated T1.
When I go to Hardware.CardsOnKSU section the card that line is connected to is showing as PRI.
When I try to change the setting to T1 it gives me "Disable card" message.
What should I do?
Thanks, Yuri
So let me just put all the things together.
1. I have to purchase 12x0 and connect it to the system.
2. Then I can connect all the analog lines to it.
3. Then I have to set up Pool A to contain PRI_1
4. Then I have to set up Pool B to contain PRI_2
5. Then I have to set up Pool C to contain...

Recently we had some troubles with our T1 provider which were caused by the Pacific Bell malfunctioning wires.

They sware that it is the problem with our equipment.
We opened the tech support issue with our PRI provider. After some time they told me that technitian ran some tests and it seems to be the problem with our equipment.
Can somebody explain me what their test could be?
Thanks,
Yuri
