I'm not aware that the Nortel systems will disable a port after a certain amount of time being disconnected, as I thought the overlay 30 had to be invoked either manually or in the midnight routines for that purpose.
If your system is on a monitored modem, you could ask the maintenance provider...
Inspired by this thread, I went ahead and tried to fix one of my retired M3904 sets whose LCD display was going bad. As a result, my nerves are all shot and I will probably have recurring nightmares for a couple of weeks until I can fully recuperate from the shock. Yes, there buried under the...
SwitchWitch: I've never had to be involved in a project of changing the numbering plans of a site, but talking out loud, I can imagine it would take a lot of planning. There's the issue of D.I.D. from the telco, and what range of numbers might be available in the switch. If all 300 sets are...
Are all the extension lengths 3 digits? The word "diverting" might mean "call-forwarding" but the CFW valid entries start at 4 digits, that I understand. Is the college asking how easy it would be to convert from 3-digit extensions to 4-digit extensions?
The SPN of "11" sounds like a safety issue when a user tries to dial "9-911" and only dials "911" in a panic. Some businesses don't use the SPN of "11" but it seems like a good practice to my mind.
I've disassembled, cleaned and refurbished the old M2000 series of sets with success, say when a user spills soda on them and the buttons are all sticky. The LCD contact is just a small rubber strip touching the circuit board. Are there any gotchas associated with refurbishing these M3904's with...
Maybe if it was such a pressing issue, you could design a ProComm script, and run it each evening afterhours which would change those sets you need to wipe the CFW values from, so that each morning the sets in question would not be forwarded anymore and would have no stored previous settings...
Look at the Special Number (SPN) of "011" in LD 90. Then print out the RLB you see listed there as the RLI in LD 86. I believe the FRL value links to the NCOS levels in another table somewhere, but the table might not equate properly, i.e., and FRL of 7 might not equal an NCOS of 7; (I would be...
The CFW feature has always stored the previous value, allowing the user an easy re-connection to their preferred number by double-pressing the feature button (in M2000 series sets). The system doesn't have a "clear" feature for the user that I am aware of. Even if there were a "clear" feature...
one thing to remember if you use this method and need to change it at anytime.. DO NOT... OUT it then rebuild with changes added... using change on a ACD set can cause corruption sometimes.... "
Gibblet: Doing a change on an ACDN in LD 23 without any agents associated with it should still be...
If the incoming call goes directly to the AA, then do people just dial a DID number? Sorry, x11dude, but I'm trying to remember how the phantom 500 line would work with an auto-attendant.
First I would print out an existing NPA in order to get the common RLI setting. (The TRAN is usually "AC1" but could be different in larger systems):
>LD 90
ESN000
REQ PRT
CUST 0
FEAT NET
TRAN AC1
TYPE NPA
NPA 1202
NPA 1202
RLI 3
DENY 976
SDRR DENY CODES = 1
ITEI NONE
MEM AVAIL: (U/P)...
Well, it seems there's 2 things to look at: How does the incoming call reach the AA, and what is the no-answer current option on the store's MCR DN?
If you know how the incoming call reaches the AA, then just change it to go to the existing MCR rather than to the AA. It might be an incoming...
As long as the phones are not programmed as ACD sets, then you ought to be able to do an Easy Change on them, via the CLI.
REQ: CHG
TYPE: 2616 (or whatever model they are)
TN: 4 1 2 3 (or whatever TN)
ECHG: Y
ITEM: KEY 2 NUL (or whatever key you want to erase (null)
ITEM: [return when done]...
When you said that you appended the .TXT to the .CAP files, the files are not named "xyx.CAP.TXT", are they? Ideally, if you are to manually rename the captured files, you would change it from "xyz.CAP" to "xyz.TXT". Not sure if the file-naming has anything to do with the file access issue. You...
A .CAP file is just a text-type file. You can either create the file association of .CAP to Notepad.exe in your computer, or just rename the .CAP files as .TXT afterwards.
Rook144: I wrote a VB.NET program for parsing and importing the ProComm-captured DNBs into an Access database. It allows updates on subsequent imports, but in the case of a deleted DNB it marks it as legacy in the database. That way I can see the changes to the system, too. Too bad I can't...
Well, with Visual Basic you could parse the text files and import the data into a database. Which type of ACD are you using? The old MAX or CCM?
Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
