Can you give us some idea about what the BAD things about the old GPO's are.
GPO don't tatoo the registry like the old NT4 Policy. So if you unlinked them you'd find you removed the policy.
I've found the GPMC great for Policy Admin/Troubleshooting

Is the mailbox created? When restoring a single mailbox I've found that you neeed to create the mailbox, and login to it 1st this will create the base folders and then do the restore.

You should add GC's (Just tick the box) on at least 1 DC in each remote site. You need to make sure your DNS and Sites are setup and stable.
You will increase network traffic but this should be relatively small compared to what you clients are currently are doing now! Remember when clients...
Where did the MIB come from .... If it was custom build I'd check for Spelling errors.
If its a vendor provided check that they follow rules in RFC1155 (I think thats the RFC Anyway)

Alot of Microsoft Select or Enterprise customers are getting PC's from HP/Dell/IBM with Linux on them to save the $200/PC.
Then using their Licence Agreements to put Windows on it ... So I see where the article is coming from.

I'm looking into the possibility of using NAS Storage for my Transaction Logs in a E2K3 project.
I've read 317173 and see MS don't support it but would like to hear others thoughts and experiences.
Thanks in Advance

I personally think Exchange 2003 will give you more benifits than E2K. Heres why;
Longer pay back on implementation, E2K has an end of life of Dec 31 2007. So moving to E2K3 will give you a longer "in use period" therefore lower the operating cost over these years.

I have a problem. I've got an OU with 2 GPO's linked to it, one is applied by all Authenticated users, the other only by users in a Domain Local Security Group. The one filtered by security group takes precedence over all policies.
However when I place users in the DLG (or in a GG which is in...
Are they in the SAME exchange ORG? You could just move the mailbox.
Alternativly try using Outllok instead of NTBACKUP (Which won't work by the way) Export the mailboxes to a PST and then import them into the new mailbox on the new server.

Thanks Laureon, You are correct. However all our disks are definatly not dynamic.
I backed up the data, expanded the drive via the ACU .... Ican format it in W2K but not assign it to the cluster. The disks in NT4.0show up as offline
I have a problem after a disk expansion under both WinNT 4.0 and Win2K.
Using SAN connected disks the RAID was expanded. This has shown up in Win2K fine but I cannot add the resource to MSCS.
Under WinNT 4.0 The disks are shown as offline.
Any help appreciated/and also why ?
