Yeah, I have the BES 2.1 server running, which I know doesn't support the Attachment service. Therefore I had a friend install the 3.6 version and we have run the service from his server. It still does not allow attachments. I think its in the design of the software. If you have a 957 or an...
No, I think he is talking about when you send an email, it gives you a check mark next to the email showing it was transmitted. The answer is no, you cannot turn that off. That is the way the blackberry keeps you informed if an email was sent or if its pending. There is a way to turn off the...
Well Cingular gives you good coverage most of the time... depending where you are... there are two major carriers... Cingualr (Skytel) and Motient (both can be used via Cingular, but not on the same Blackberry). Now the option for wireless internet on the 957 and 857 sucks due to the slowness of...
Holly18,
Changing the service from interactive to Desktop will only change your email address to reflect that of the desktop software (for instance you have the Blackberry Desktop Manager which finds your address as ABC@ABC.com... it will give a service book option to use that address for...
Holly18,
Thanks for the update... that software upgrade for the Blackberry is for the non color blackberries. I do not think that software is supported on the 7310 or the 7320 which uses a Java 2 platform.

If you can post the software you created, I can check it out in our lab. I have used software which is simular to what you are talking about and it does work. How did you code this application? Shell Script? If you can't post to the forum, just zip it and send it to rcornwell@speedfactory.net.
I have a T-Mobile blackberry running the latest software. Now one thing that I do not have is the attachment service. I know it is included and I know the application is loaded on the blackberry, but when I receive an attachment, I can't go to the menu and say open attachment. Its not there... I...
Any of you know where I can get a test trial of the 3.6? We currently only have one blackberry, but most purchases are for 10 to 15 clients. Would like to do more test with the 2003 server I have running. I still have the 2.1 version, but I'm trying to do this with a T-Mobile blackberry...
I do not know what is going on here, but I have the same problem with mine. I just purchased one from T- Crapple and they tell me its because of the desktop redirector... but that is crap... they don't know what they are talking about... I have reinstalled the software 10 times... the only thing...
I got off an hour conversationw ith T-Craple a little while ago... I have the desktop redirector, and the messages take 15 minutes to send!!! do you guys have the same problem? In regards to your question, yeah, the web client is nothing more than for people who have like ISP mail and stuff...
