Do they work together? During the install, it did NOT find the CDO.dll which works with calendar sync. However it seems the file included with Exchange 2003 is cdosys.dll.

Will it work, or do we have to wait for a patch from Blackberry or downgrade to Exchange 2000?

Help help help, urgent!

I too have the same issue. I contacted Blackberry and they said it is NOT compatable. I even tried to have a secondary Exchange 2000 server, but it still would not work right. Now, I have the Version 2.1 of the BES software and can't get it to work right with 2000... Keeps asking for the manager snapin which 2000 doesn't use.

We have it working using BES 3.6 sp1 and the cdo.dll from that we found on our Exchange 2003 server.

We ended up doing the same thing with the cdo.dll from the exchange 2000 cd and everything worked, email wireless, cradle tasks and notes sync, and calendar changes from the handheld to the outlook client, but we couldn't get the outlook client to update the handheld calendar wirelessly.

We ended up going back down to Exchange 2000, been a long couple weeks. Sick technology. The BES folks said sp2 will fix any compatibility issues with Exchnage 2003, so I will be upgading that server soon and applying the service pack to the BES. I will let you know how it goes.

Any of you know where I can get a test trial of the 3.6? We currently only have one blackberry, but most purchases are for 10 to 15 clients. Would like to do more test with the 2003 server I have running. I still have the 2.1 version, but I'm trying to do this with a T-Mobile blackberry...

We are running Window 2003 Std. Server, w/Exchange 2003, w/BES 3.6.2, Outlook is not installed and the CDO.dll has been upgraded/registered. I do not have an option to install "BlackBerry Service #2", when I go to the "Modify" option (page 100 of the Exchange 2003 install manual). Any suggestions? This is to install the Calendar Synchronization features. Other features seem to work fine.
SP 2 for 3.6 came out in Dec. 2003 (MS CDO.DLL came out early Dec.).
