i was told from t-mobile we Dont have to use the blackberry Exchange software, but only the Webclient.

what is it and does this sound right ??

we only need our exchange email to sync w/ our outlook clients when were remote.

thanks

If you want to receive your exchange mail on the Blackberry then you may not want to use Web client for that. Web client is mainly used for accessing pop3 accounts and mail forwarding. If you want to pop your email then yes, use web client.
If you have a couple of Blackberry users and email security is important to your company then you will want to use the Blackberry Enterprise Server.

I got off an hour conversationw ith T-Craple a little while ago... I have the desktop redirector, and the messages take 15 minutes to send!!! do you guys have the same problem? In regards to your question, yeah, the web client is nothing more than for people who have like ISP mail and stuff which they download from a pop3 account.. just like what was replied.

We started with the redirector software for a couple of weeks which worked okay - took about five minutes for the e-mails to get transferred through, but it did mean keeping on a PC 24/7 for each Blackberry as each Redirector can only be used for one Blackberry.

We have now moved across to the full BES and delivery is instantaneous to both Outlook and Blackberry but the real advantage is the addition of attachements and wireless calendar synchronisation - don't under estimate this!
