    mystery network traffic

Okay, I physically disconnected every local computer from the router and still get the traffic coming to it. Does that mean it's traffic that actually stops at the router without going any farther? This router is at a small hotel. If a prior guest had been using file sharing would some...

    mystery network traffic

Thanks for your reply but I need a little more help. 72.13.175.28 is the wan address of the router. These upload/download entries show up even when nothing on the local network, 192.168.1.121 for example, appears to be connecting. How can I pin down what local computer this is going to? The...

    mystery network traffic

Hi. I have logging turned on at the router and have huge volumes of traffic but the originating ip isn't a local network address. It looks like this, over and over all day long. The list of IPs is varied but does repeat at times. Can anyone tell me what to look for here? Is the router being...

    Raid 1 with swappable drives??

I have a intel D915PBL motherboard with built in sata raid support. I have 3 seagate 120 gb hard drives, 2 of which are in drive drawers so they can be removed from the system and taken offsite for storage. What I want to do is change the drives over once a week so there is always a fairly...

    Unrecognized database format on backend?

Thanks Norris68. That was the kind of rebuilding I was trying to avoid since it wasn't a database that I had designed. I am a computer technician, not a programmer although I'd like to be someday. I did the smart thing and told my customer to contact the designer to recover their data...

    Unrecognized database format on backend?

I have a customers database for access 97 that has two parts called anchor.mdb and anchordata.mdb. I assume this is a backend / frontend set up. The database suddenly developed a unrecognized database format error. I was able to open it in access 2000 using the anchor.mdb but if I try to open...

    Collision problems

I have 2 computers connected to a GNet 10/100 switch. Both pc's receive their ip from the isp and can browse the internet fine. But, the pc's cannot access each other. When one pc is plugged into the switch the collision light stays on steady. Tried a different port on the switch, different...

Mail Merge List may be damaged

I have a customer using Microsoft Works. When they try to do a merged document with the address book in works they get a message "Works cannot open the mail merge list you selected. The file may be damaged or may be in a file format etc...." The address book seems to be working fine...

    lost pictures on cd

iso files are images of disks rather than the usual file structure. Copy the iso files to a directory on your hard drive, then make a new cd with easy cd creator but use the option to "create cd from image" then use the file you copied to the hard drive as the source image.

Data being sent continuously on dial up connection

    Disappearing Records

Thanks for the suggestions but I am admin and have set up no security on the database. The form used to show all the records, don't know what I did to mess it up. I created another Systems Form and all the records show up just fine - I'll just have to redo all the formatting etc. Sigh. Thanks...

    Disappearing Records

I have a Systems form based on a System Table. When I open the form, no records are there (a blank 1 of 1) even thought the underlying table has loads of records. I have tried basing the form on a query as well with the same results. I have also edited relationships to make sure my System...

Return to last record of previous form??

Thanks again. It so much simpler when you design things right! I did as you suggested, basing the workorder form on a query that combines the workorder and customers tables. Works great and "returns" to where I left off! The only problem is - it still doesn't fill in the customer...

Return to last record of previous form??

Thanks for the help but I think I need a little more. :) My Forms are WorkOrder and Customer, with a subform, sbfCustomer within WorkOrder. My combo box to select the customer (cmbCust) has the following row source: SELECT DISTINCT Customers.CustomerID, Customers.ContactLastName...

Return to last record of previous form??

I have a WorkOrder form with a combo box to select customer which fills in customer info in the Customer Subform. I also have a command button for Add New Customer that opens the full Customer Form. What I need is to return to the record the user started to add in WorkOrder, before they...
