Hi, I'm running a SAN environment that has tripled in the last 1.5 - 2 years and I'm trying to get an idea of what other companies storage allocation processes are. Is there a way to create a single drive from multiple NAS drives?

I have an application using Windows 2003 that can only read from a single drive letter (no subdirectories so no using DFS). Does anyone know any way to make multiple drives to create 1 large drive? We are currently using a Netapp 3050c and we're trying to keep it as 2TB volumes given to the host...

    questions about using nsrjb

I'm a little confused. I do have 1 library - 3494lib1 with a bunch of virtual jukeboxes. So I need to add the tape to k2dmzabk1. Each of the above has their own tapes that I have to assign daily. So what would the command be? See, usually I'll: ssh k2dmzabk1 "nsrjb -s cdavisqa1 -a -T #####" But...

K2dmzabk1 is the hostname of the storage node that I'm trying to do this for. If I went into jbconfig would this show the names? Or is there some output from nsradmin that would show you this information? Here's some output below: $ /usr/sbin/nsradmin -i - << EOF show name print type: nsr...

Basically, what happens is that I have 2 Legato servers that share scratch tapes. Unfortunately, and I'm sure many people have the same problem, my tape operators are not very good at keeping the scratch tapes separate from the live tapes. How would auto mgmt work in this case. This is a quick...

    Labeling Tapes by command line

I'm talking about making a scratch tape a part of the pool. I've seen messages in legato "labeling without mount".
