I'm just getting into the thick of an issue with an H.323 link, pouring over an interoperability doc and checking settings on both ends. I'll have to rely on another team member to check cisco router settings.
The issue is that you can call from the CCM across the link to an Avaya phone no...
Thanks AT3.
David, I asked the same question when I walked in the door. The overall plan is to remove ALL of the Avaya kit company wide. Apparently there have been some Avaya / Cisco interconnect problems in other parts of the country within the company as well as issues with some of the Avaya...
I just want to add that I'm not going to support the equipment, just need to extract enough information from it to decommission it and deploy Cisco. Worse case scenario is that I visit each phone and check setup and make notes regarding speed dials, voicemail, hunt groups, roll patterns etc...
Telecomboy - Thanks. Did a copy/paste.
Dexman - Understood. I'm not going to support the equipment, just need to extract enough information from it to decommission it and deploy Cisco. Worse case scenario is that I visit each phone and check setup and make notes regarding speed dials...
Hello All,The company I work for recently acquired another company that has lots of Avaya equipment. I've worked with Nortel for years and have had only limited exposure to Avaya. Somehow I've been chosen to decommission all of this equipment which will require travel to many remote sites and...

How do you miss calls? Turrets not ringing? Is it from a specific number, area code or exchange? It could be a turret setting. Do you have a DND key anywhere on the turret? If so and its red, hit the DND key to turn Do Not Disturb off. You may also want to check ringing; MENU>Ring>Ring> check...
I would ask the customer what functionality they desire that requires a PBX. With 4 lines, I think I'd opt for centrex. With centrex lines you get PBX functionality thats managed by the telco provider which in my opinion is ideal for a small office.
If they plan to grow beyond 10 sets, then...
I do not own or support any IP Trade sites but I do interface with people that do. I have ordered many ARD circuits to sites with IP Trade turrets and can tell you that getting these lines to work properly or for any length of time on an IP Trade system is pure luck. It takes forver and IP Trade...
OK from what I see above, this looks like a speed dial used to access a voicemail system. Basically the user pushes the button labeled VM and it takes them to their voicemail box without them having to enter the digits.
2222 is your voicemail system extension and 2070 is the users extension...
I have used PuTTY and Procomm to connect as well. Google PuTTY, its a free down load. Note that PuTTY has issue with meta key (F1-F6) configs when accessing Meridian Mail. Other than that, you can do anything you need.
I have an option 11 that I access by using RDP from my desktop to a PC that is direct connected to the PBX with a serial cable.
Once connected to the direct connect PC via RDP, I fire up procomm and log into the system to do whatever.
This set up has worked well, but recently, I am simply unable...
I hope I am in the correct forum for this...
In the interest of saving money, I'm in the process of evaluating the RAD IP Mux 24 f/e. The idea is to use this product to push channelized voice T1 (24 Ds0's) over existing WAN connections.
Does anyone out there have any experience with this...
Thanks BigIndian YDM!
Would you happen to know where I can find PRI config info also? I need to know line coding and framing info for each PRI as well, which card equals which loop etc.
