Has anyone connected Shoretel to Mitel using SIP trunks? We are trying to set up a test switch to integrate with a Mitel network. If anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

You might try setting the baud rate to 14,400 and turn off Error Correction Mode on the fax machines. No guarantee this will work for you, it has helped on some of our machines before. We are switching to a fax server to try and eliminate these issues. Hope this helps.

FrancoisOuiment, We have installed Xmedius and we have the incoming faxes working, but when we try to fax out we get an error message saying the line is not available. Was wondering if you may be able to tell me what we are missing.

I am using NuPoint. I have it set up now with a MWI key programmed on the secretarys set so she can check the messages from her phone and still save a message in the bosses mailbox if needed. However it would still be good to know the first method I mentioned. Thanks KWB.

I have set up a reroute to another extension and am wanting voice mails to go into the extensions mailbox that I am rerouting to. The call is rerouting but never goes to voice mail on the other extension. 3300 8.0.8.8 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You might try upgrading your LX to at least 8.0. When I upgraded to 7.1 4.9 I had lots of failed faxes. When I upgaded to 8.0 fax machines started working a lot better.

You will need to assign a code in the feature access code assignment form to use when adding additional parties.

Just learned by accident really. I had to many people saying their phones had no dial tone but worked on speaker.

I have had the same issues on some phones and it turns out that the little spring inside the phone is not raising the switch hook far enough to get dial tone. Try lifting it with your finger and see if you get dial tone.
