The system auto backup should not be resetting the system and/or phones. I would look at the ip settings in the main menu.....not on the phones....go into ip and then keysets. By the way, there is very limited reasons to do a system backup everynight. It is not "saving" your acd statistics...it...

there is no ping like command, however, you can check under the IP portion of the database what phones are active. Go to Ip then keyset

Did you check your class of service for that station? Have you tried moving (in the NPL) the station to port 1 and port 1 to 0 to see if the problem follows? Check your number plan. Any double indexing on that port?
