You are dead on. Realized an old employee was deleted and had the same number as we were using to log in but didn't even know it. All fixed now. Thx a ton you are a great help and supequick to respond.

we are using 6.2.28 and I can log into the pos terminal with any employee number but the Aloha EDC and manager will not let me log into them. They both have the same login and password but keep telling me they could not find the entered user or user could not be validated for login. I noticed...

The login is for the administrator, no employees ever login. I only login to the edc or manager, they login to the pos monitor.

My system all of a sudden stopped me from logging in. My EDC says "system could not find the entered user" and the managers states "usercould not be validated for login to the system." Could you help me rectify this as I am open today and have no system to use.

Is there something I can do to fix this?

The windows update did fix my "failed to initialize modem" problem but now the card sales will not transfer to the BOH Aloha EDC. The print off and get signed, show up as sales in the EOD print sheet but they do not show up on the Aloha EDC so I have to manually enter each one and then settle...

Thanks Coorsman, once again you are a genius. The Windows KB931128 (or whatever the one was from previous thread) update worked like a charm. Upgrading tower to Windows 7 in the next day or two then upgrading the Aloha system to current.

It is not set up in in manager. It was but it was removed by Aloha tech.

I have Aloha 6.2.8 and at one point it was used for three terminals but we got rid of everything and now only have one but would like to add one more.

Could somebody please give me a step by step instruction on how to add a terminal, printer and cash drawer to my system. I have a main server and I am allowed up to three terminals. I just need a basic step by step for dummies. Please help.

I think our version is 6.2.8 and the error just does not authorize AMEX cards in the terminal swiper. When I try to add AMEX as our processor, it asks for Terminal ID (2 digits), Process control id (6 digits), Service id (6 digits), and network access profile id (10 digits). My terminal ID is...

I called AMEX and it is set up for us to use as well as our processor. It works on our stand alone machine but not the terminal swipe.
