We have been plagued lately with getting deadlock errors during an STSADM export. We are doing a lot of migrations and this error occurs multiple times and we...

I thought I would update everyone on this issue. We have found that some InfoPath forms have this problem too. when a user goes into an infoPath form doc library and selects NEW, an error occurs because the spaces are 'double encoded'. We are still looking into the issue, but if anyone has...
Interesting thanks...but now what?
I have looked through Central Admin for encoding settings and didn't find anything. I have confirmed that it is not a setting in the ISA firewall...
I wonder if this is a bug in April Culm?
anybody else running April Culm than can check functionality...
I recently migrated our site collections to a x64 bit farm AND upgraded them to the April Culm patch.
The 'Email a link' is not working correctly and seems to have changed replacing the space ("%20") to ("%2520") in the URL..

Patrick,
We decided to migrate to staging server, upgrade to SP2 then migrated to new Production server.
with all the time it would take to test, I might as well just do it right.
Here is the feedback I recieved from two SharePoint colleages:

Currently we are migrating site collections via STSADM scripts from pre-SP1 server to staging server (same version), and then upgrading staging to SP2. I was asked if we can keep staging server at SP2 and do migrate from pre-SP1 to SP2, therefore performing migrated AND upgrade at the same...

2. Make a copy of the IISMetaBase
3. make Central Admin the same port on new box/farm
4. Make a...
I found the issue - Anonymous access is enabled. When I go into Central Admin > Application Management > Authentication Providers > Edit Authentication, the Internet Zone had Anonymous Access ENABLED. So, the reason why some document libraries where able to be restricted (permissions broken...
copy and paste the URL of the regional settings from the portal to the Central Admin. I've done this before..
So, paste the "_layouts/regionalsetng.aspx" after your Central admin URL...

Sorry, I should have been more clear.
I went into the doc library permissions and removed users from it. I even removed myself. But after that was done, I and other user accounts are still able to see the document library and all contents therein. So permissions were 'edited' on the doc...
I am seeing a problem where SharePoint users are able to see restricted material after they were removed from having permissions to access.
I have a document library created on TopSite1/SubsiteA where if you break permissions from the site, all users that don't have permissions cannot see the...
