We hit the same thing a few months ago (early R8). Firmware upgrade in the latest R8 sorted the issue.

Many router web interfaces allow either auto or manual config saves after (or before) changes. Hopefully the IPO web interface will allow the same. Personally I'm looking forward to web access - saves RDP or VPN discussions with 3rd party IT support guys.

I'm not running a PPPoE Concentrator (that I know of!!). The ADSL modem is connected directly to the ZyXEL DSLAM. The syslog on the modem just shows Initialize LCP. Not sure if there's a log on the ZyXEL that's going to help or not.
