Speaker phone squealing

I have an ip500 digital 30 with 9508 phones on it. Whenever one of the extensions uses speakerphone, you get a terrible squealing noise. Anyone experiencing this?

Software is 8.0(16) on an ipo 500 v2
 
make sure that they took the upgrade to the correct version of firmware (I think it is R37)

I had the same issue with 5410 phones! I turned off ACG for the speakerphone and set the mode on it to "less open" and it seemed to fix it.

We hit the same thing a few months ago (early R8). Firmware upgrade in the latest R8 sorted the issue.
 
I have had this too but then the sound was on the other end.
I upgraded from 8.0.16 to 8.0.18 and i thought it was gone but the customer says it came back.
I did not hear it but i rebooted the pbx last morning.

Try using the "A" menu, going to Advanced, Audio, Echo Canceler, and switching to "OFF
 
It was off and i tried it with on.
It has nothing to do with these settings on the phone.
I never ever hear a sound like this.
It is like a reversed 7.0.23 sound problem.

Updated to 8.0(18) and it fixed the issue. thanks for your help
