I change out both my CPU and heatsink/fan. Installed Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU, a Cooler Master Hyper D92 CPU Air Cooler and added 2M of memory. The thermal paste on the Pentium D that I took out was dust. Ran Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool and it showed a "check fan and heat sink warning"...

I will be ordering a new fan and cpu this weekend.

Cleaned fan and checked connections,computer will stay on for 5.5 days /24 hours then start shutting down. Will check thermal paste and cpu fan next. Ran Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool and it passed the strees test but failed temperature test. Have 5 fans in case. Maybe its the heat sink.
