I currently have a Callpilot 100, with 40 mailboxes, connected to a Norstar CICS system. The Callpilot is Rls 3.1 and the CICS has 7.1 software.
The issue is that when you are going to record a company greeting, you key in the intercom number of the set you are to going to record from and then...
I have a Norstar CICS cabinet with 2.0 software which I would like to upgrade to 7.1 software. I know that you can't install 7.1 on a CICS that had 2.0 previously.
Is the upgrade procedure to...
install 4.1 software - then install 6.1 - then install 7.1 software ?
Thanks.
Thanks Curlycord for the info.
I tried numerous variations in my shop and found the following...
- the greeting table will not allow you to leave a blank time. It forces you to make an entry
- if 2 companies are sharing the Call Pilot and each has their own tel lines...then no problem with 2...
Saturday is to have a special greeting for when they are open.
I guess my main question is...can you leave any of the entry fields blank in the greeting tree.
Example...Monday morning has an entry of 8:00 am with a greeting and CCR tree assigned, Monday afternoon and Monday evening are blank...
I have a Call Pilot 150 and need some advise on programming Greeting table 1.
I have "business open" and "business closed" greetings which is no problem to set start times within the greeting table. Now I am adding a 3rd greeting for "Saturday open" and am running into conflicts on how to...
Problem solved!
I let the StarTalk sit powered up and connected to the CICS for a couple of hours. Then I did a F**xftest to see if the CICS was recognizing the feature codes and if they were active. The codes were active, F903 was displayed so I did a test and everything was good and finally...
I have a StarTalk Flash voicemail system that has had it's default passwords changed and nobody has them.
Configuration:
CICS 4.0 with 2 digit i/c numbering
StarTalk 1.9
According to the compatibility matrix, the above system combination is allowed. The voicemail is working as I am answered...
My Client has a MICS with 3.0 software and a Startalk Flash voicemail. They do not wish to upgrade their software but do want to use a hunt group feature which is not available on 3.0.
Here is how they want it setup...
- Auto attendant answers the 6 outside lines after 2 rings
- menu options...
Thanks to all that responded. You have confirmed my greatest fears so it would be a lot simpler to purchase a MICS with 7.1 instead of taking a chance.
Thanks again everyone!
I thought I would check with you experts before I try anything. My client has an existing MICS cabinet with 3.0 software and needs to upgrade to a higher software version so as to get the hunt group feature. We might as well upgrade to 7.1 to get all the enhancements.
I know when I tried to...
Look at the lights on the CallPilot 100. Are any of them lite? I had a similar problem in that the power supply was good, the lights were on but nobody was home...no access via codes. It turned out that the main processor inside had fried so the whole unit had to be replaced. You could try...
Just brain storming here so not sure if it would work but might be worth a try.
Main System:
- install an ATA and wire that i/c into a trunk position on the gifted system
- program access to this trunk on the sets of the gifted system
- result, you have an i/c off the main system to make...
Thanks to all that replied, it really helped me out. I used your suggestions and played with it awhile then finally got the drift of how you program it and then success. One big point learned...you must disable the tree before any program changes take effect.
Vantage 8 and 12 were the precursors to the Norstar 6x16. At that time Vantage was all we had for businesses and it worked fine until the new and improved products started to arrive on the scene. The Vantage system was a 4 wire system for sets and thus we had to do a lot more cabling to...
