Hi All, I have a strange problem. One of the phones at our organization can make some calls to external numbers but not to others. Other phones however can make the same call successfully. Here are the troubleshooting steps I've taken so far: 1. Used AFRS and set TN: 1, RT: 31, NPC...

    Setting Up Additional Auto Attendant?

I can't find anything in the documentation about setting up virtual extensions? Is there another term for these virtual extensions? Thanks, Dave

    Setting Up Additional Auto Attendant?

We currently have a NEAX 2400 IPX PBX with a NEAXMail AD-64 voicemail system. When someone calls in they are taken to the main opening box and can interact with the auto attendant from there. I would like to add a second menu, but am unsure how to tell the PBX that this auto attendant exists and...

Simple Definition of Simple Feature Class?

Can someone give me a lay english, common sense definition of Service Feature Class? If I'm understanding correctly, the PBX includes a number of "service features" which one can enable on a route by route basis? Dave.

How To: Determine the Roles of Various Routes?

Thanks. I did that, but it still seems that there are more trunks than we have physical trunks? I believe we have two PRI's and one T-1, but its showing up that we have around twenty routes...

How To: Determine the Roles of Various Routes?

I used ARTD to look at the settings for all the various routes and diagram out how they are utilized...but I'm not quite clear how routes correspond to physical trunks? There are many more routes than trunks? Dave.

Can Connect with NEC MAT but not MATWorX?

Thanks. This is very helpful. Is there an app like MATWorX that runs with the 2400 IPX? It seems weird that a newer system would like the same GUI controls that were included with older, legacy systems? Dave

Can Connect with NEC MAT but not MATWorX?

I have NEC MAT R21 3.03 on a Win 2003 server and it can connect to the phone system fine. I also have MATWorX 13 on the same server, but when configured with the same IP to connect to and port (60000) the test in the config wizard turns back abnormal. Am I missing something? Thanks, Dave.

Better Documentation / Tutorials on NEC MAT?

I have a SV7000 / NEAX 2400 IPX. I can do a lot of the basics - just looking for something to fill in the gaps and perhaps refer to if I forget. :)

Where to find NEC MAT Commands?

Hmmm...maybe the specific manual names will be of assistance. You probably need: - ISDN Feature Programming Manual - Office Data Specifications - System Operations and Maintenance Manual AFAIK there is no MAT-only manual - each of these manuals includes a significant number of MAT commands, but...

Better Documentation / Tutorials on NEC MAT?

I'm wondering if anyone is aware of some good sites / tutorials / documentation for NEC MAT that are more user friendly? I don't want to get into an argument about the quality of NEC documentation - just looking for anything better. =) Dave.

    NEC vs. Open Source?

Just an update...I'm still looking at open source solutions, mainly sipXecs at this juncture. Our VAR also introduced us to the SpheriCall soft switch, which looks interesting... Dave.
