Now the 92 = 9.2 makes sense, but it just seems like it'd save those of us who aren't Nortel guru's a little time and hassle and just add a period between the two numbers in the PBX. Thanks for the answers, I appreciate the help.
So Nortel doesn't go by version 2, 3, 4, etc? When I look on Avaya's site I find 3900 series downloads I find release 9.0, 9.2, 9.3, so how does that work out if my phones are supposedly on version 89 and 92? Must be their backward Canadian logic, eh?
Having a hard time understanding what firmware a few of my m3904 phones are on. I've gone into load 32 and idu'd the TN's in question and I get release code 2 on one and 4 on another. I've also done the FWVU followed by the TN and got firmware version 89 on one and 92 on another. What firmware...
Just wondering what the steps are to get a S8300 registered to a G700. Is it as simple as installing the authentication & license file and adding the MGC to the list? I'm looking to set up a G700 with a S8300 as a stand alone system but don't have a lot of experience with these Avaya Smaller...
From my initial post:
"I've tried the screwdriver trick along with 4.1 and 6.1 software but still no luck. I've let the system sit overnight to make sure I was giving it enough time."
I shorted out the caps for 30+ seconds. I've got access to almost every release of Norstar CICS software &...
Yeah, I've already tried the screwdriver trick, and I'm having issues with 3 or 4 systems. These are all systems we purchased from a company going out of business so I'm not 100% sure that they worked in the first place. I just need to figure out if their working now, and as of now its not...
Thats the problem, I dont know what software it once had. These came to me without any software cartrdiges. I guess I'll have to see if I can find some older versions and start from there.
I've got a few Compact Plus ICS Norstar Systems I have to test however, whenever I plug them in, all of the arrows on all of the phones flash. I've tried the screwdriver trick along with 4.1 and 6.1 software but still no luck. I've let the system sit overnight to make sure I was giving it enough...
My DHCP scope settings are: MCIPADD=192.168.45.16,MCPORT=1719,TFTPSRVR=192.168.45.2 we aren't using any vlan's since this is a test environment.
The 45.16 is my c-lan address. The phones i'm working with are being re-tested to eventually be sold. They have been tested once before and every...
I've got a few 4690's that keep coming up either with Discovering & No Vlan or Parsing Config file and they get stuck at line 2375. I've set these phones up completely with static IP's for everything. I can get all other 46xx and 96xx phones to register just fine. I'm attempting to register the...
I found I can edit the config file on the flash card & set the IP address manually then get in and create a new user. I did try those IP address though with no luck. Most of these I've got have been changed since they were pulled from production. The majority of them are freezing during the boot...
Is there a default IP address for the 1100 Contivity routers? I'm trying to reset the router to factory defaults.I've got it booted successfully to recovery mode using the reset button during the memory test, but when connected with the console cable its asking for the Administrators user name...
I'm having issues getting my HAT to work. I've downloaded the newest release from Avaya's website as well as an older release and neither are working. When I drop a phone in the cradle, it'll try to install the USB drivers but its unsuccessful. I've attempted to uninstall the HAT and reinstall...
