Oh, and any idea what those diskettes that were in my drivers were?
"Question 2
The switch came with two diskettes in it. Both are labeled as "Database Archive" with the serial number and NTI# on them. One has "(CE/PE)" on it while the other has just (CE). What are these disks?
During the daily routine, does it backup to both diskettes for both cores, or just the active core?
From reading the extremely dry Nortel manuals, it seems like it would just backup the active core, then switch to the other core.

First off, let me say thank you for all the help you've given me. I've greatly appreciated it. This being a new startup company, funds have been pretty short. So I've turned into a hand-on manager again until we can afford some staff.
So, now I'm working on my Disaster Recover Plan and...
No such luck. It doesn't work.
Although, it does come in handy for my other problem with two SCR keys setup for a DN that isn't a physical phone. Now I have a 2616 configured on that port and the two lines ring perfect, with the third caller going to vmail.
BTW. IDC doesn't work right as...
It has the same part number as my other digital line cards with 16 ports though. Unless they put out Beta's with the same part number as production 16 port cards.
They do list that card as having 16 data ports on it in addition to the 16 digital lines. I could have sworn you weren't permitted...
Ok, wierd thing. All NT8D02GA digital line cards have 16 ports, right? This one showed 24 as being available with LUVU???

Hrmm, Ok. LHK must be in addition to some global setting somewhere.
For 7158 (the DN not on a Key00 anywhere)
LHK 1 - 1st call rings, 2nd caller busy
LHK 2 - 1st call rings, 2nd caller vmail
LHK 3 - 1st call rings, 2nd caller rings, 3rd vmail
For the main DN for that TN though.
LHK 1 - 1st...
Ok,
I'm probably going about this the wrong way.
I have a TN setup with a 2616 set for the operator. She has visibility of several DN's for some key people. She can pickup calls for those people on both of their lines with keys programmed with SCR. Those all work fine.
We have a DN that'll...
eroberts9,
Makes sense, it was a pretty small system that I saw it on.
Maybe I'll just see if I can whip up a passive repeater for the broadcast bands to see if that helps. Ya, I'll do that in my spare time.

About 15 years ago, this place I worked at had a [Music] button setup on every station. When activated, music would come over the speakerphone and be interupted when a call comes in. It played the hold music.
I didn't think much of it until I've started working in this huge metal building...
