Second DN not ringing on a phone with SCR

Ok,

I'm probably going about this the wrong way.

I have a TN setup with a 2616 set for the operator. She has visibility of several DN's for some key people. She can pickup calls for those people on both of their lines with keys programmed with SCR. Those all work fine.

We have a DN that'll be coming in (7158) that doesn't require a TN exclusively for it. I figured I could just setup two keys on her 2616 with SCR 7158 and SCR 6158. Well, the first line rings through and the second goes busy. It doesn't even go to voicemail.

How should I go about doing this properly?

Thanks,
Buster

Change the LHK from 1 to 3 and test accordingly. Please note that this will mean that if someone rings 7150 it will also step down to 6150 then 7158 then 6158. Not sure how many calls they get on these numbers but try and see if they like it. The other option is to set up as MCR keys? Hope this helps?

Hrmm, what's wierd is it already has the that behavior on 7150, the primary DN for this TN, with "LHK 1".

Lemme give LHK 2 a try.

Thanks,
Buster

If you change the LHK to 2 this will mean that the HUNT functionaltity will work but if you want it to step down to key 3 if key 2 is busy then you will need to set LHK to 3.

Hrmm, Ok. LHK must be in addition to some global setting somewhere.

For 7158 (the DN not on a Key00 anywhere)
LHK 1 - 1st call rings, 2nd caller busy
LHK 2 - 1st call rings, 2nd caller vmail
LHK 3 - 1st call rings, 2nd caller rings, 3rd vmail

For the main DN for that TN though.
LHK 1 - 1st call rings, 2nd caller rings, 3rd vmail
LHK 3 - 1st call rings, 2nd caller rings, 3rd rings, and I assume 4th rings.

So If I setup LHK to 3, the behavior of the main TN (which happen to be assigned to key 00) is undesireable.

Buster

You can correct this by putting feature key between DNs and make LHK 4

This should work as long as 7158 and 6158 only appear on this set.

What I often do is programm those numbers in key 0 and 1 of a the Data TN of a set with Marp set to that TN.

Reusser,

What do you mean by a data TN? I tried cpying 2616 to port 16 (a DTA port), but that didn't work.

Buster

I think what he means is on the voice TN but put the transfer key in between the numbers as per above. I have not tested this so am interested on the outcome.
