    Robocopy

I have Robocopy setup to copy files using the /mir to a NAS box. The problem being that every time I run my batch file it claims that files are newer and starts to copy files again. Is there a switch to fix this?

    DRM Problem with sysprep

I have a PC with Windows Media 11 installed. I then apply the following patch to allow me to play DRM content. http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/crlupdate/en/crlupdate.html I can then play the DRM content. I now prepare the PC with sysprep. When I bring down the sysprep image onto another PC...

    FSMO promotion

Thanks for your reply. I meant Windows 2000 and I haven't actualy clustered the AD. My mistake I didn't explain correctly. Anyway yes I have moved all the roles to the Windows 2003 server and they say that all is okay. It's only the Windows 2000 server stating errors that won't allow me to take...

    FSMO promotion

I have 2 node cluster running windows 2002 with AD. I have just setup a new Windows 2003 server on an ESX box and the aim was to move the AD to the new box. I de-promoted one of the windows 2000 servers with no problem which left me with the master DC. I joined the windows 2003 server as a DC...

Windows 2003 migration to Windows 2003

Thankyou. Are you saying that I need to run ADPREP and DOMAINPREP on the Windows 2000 server before or run those commands on the 2003 server?

Windows 2003 migration to Windows 2003

I have a 2 node cluster running AD on Windows 2000 server. The servers need replacing so i'm think of going down to one server on a ESX platform to run the AD. I'm going to use a Windows 2003 Server instead of Windows 2000. Can I just join the windows 2003 server to the current domain to...

    Map Network Drive problems

I have an AD and have added a batch file into the sysvol and edited the users profile. The batch maps a network drive on login. Sometimes it maps and other times it doesn't and i'm not sure why. I have laptops and i was wondering if this might be the problem. The laptops are syspred but when...

    windows 2003 nlb with replicated

I'm setting up a nlb and will require file replication from node 1 to node 2 so that if node fails then node 2 streams can take over. Could you recommend any synchronization software or can you use dfs ect or does windows have any built in functions

    setting up nlb in 2003

No problem. Yes i'm aware that nlb is splitting the load between the 2 nodes and that if node 1 dies node 2 will take over all the work. The problem i have is making sure that all the applications and files are loaded onto both nodes. That's why i was looking for some software to copy from node...

    setting up nlb in 2003

I've decide to go with 2 servers with raid 5 and use windows NLB. Do you know if i can use the product double take as well as nlb on the same set of servers. Becuase if i loose node 1 i want node 2 to take over all the streams and continue to run the applications.

    Clustering + NLB

I'm putting in a domain controler and 2 member servers that i want to cluster.I'm also going to be streaming media so it's important that i have NLB configured. I understand that the 2 can't work together on the same set of servers. Would this be achivable if i was to put in a layer 4 switch?
