I think you didn't try to install knoppix 6.2 on custom partition. And you are just simply answer it. Don't answer it if you didn't know about it. Thanks for your reply. There is no point to delete zenwalk partition and create new partition.

Yes, I used dual boot windows and Zenwalk XFCE But I want to install knoppix 6.2 on my hard drive and overwrite existing partition for Zenwalk also kept my windows partition. After quit from gparted, still asked a same question install entire disk or gparted again. FYI..I can install knoppix 6.2...

I had checked usb-storage module. That module loaded. Because I can detect usb flash drive from that RHEL workstation.

Yes, I had checked dmesg. And can't see any /dev/sdxx on dmesg. Also run # fdisk -l

Network is healthy and reliable. Did you use this nfs-utils-1.0.6-93.EL4 packages before ? I didn't hava this problem before I updated nfs-utils Or I should downgrade nfs-utils package. Thanks

Used umask on /etc/default/login will apply for all directory. But I want few directories not all. Everytime users created files on /test/test1/files automatically have a right access 775 not 755. My environment is mixed solaris and linux. Thanks

Yes, I used NFS. So I can copy files to Network attach Storage.

The users can create files on specified directory with right access 775 (rwx-rwx-r-x) without using crontab to chmod -R g+w /dir1/dir2/file1. But the users can get files with right access 775 if the files created. Any suggestion?

Free harddisk space was not a issue. Because I had 174 GB on local harddisk and NAS attached. The error mesg : "Input/Output Error" Thanks
